wow...so i was just reading an old 06 thread on yes/no response ratios....there were a lot of girls who had a lot of no's....lol...i didnt think i would have to worry about meeting my minimum...but we were able to get a lower price by upping the minimum....so now our minimum is 200 as opposed to 175. (we are inviting about 230...we have potentially 250, but we just cut 20 ppl off the list - friends of my dads) that would S*ck if we had more nos than our minimum, lol....i now realize why people have A and B guest lists...i think i may decide to have a B guest list now just in case!

Re: yes/no response ratio
I am afraid of having a lot of no's. I want to me the minimum and I am afraid I won't be able to. I haven't made a list out yet of everyone though even the maybes so we shall see.

Re: yes/no response ratio
I heard that a lot of people say no. I was surprised when someone told me that. I have to start making a list.

Re: yes/no response ratio
yeah, i really never thought that would be a problem....but our list also included a lot of....'and guests' (like for my cousins who are still in college). and there is a good possibility many of them will just come without a guest. so that would knock a lot of people off right there. i guess it's not a big deal though....our previous minimum with our previous price per head would have still been more expensive than our new minimum. so either way it works. plus....i would almost rather less people. as long as the key people who are most important to me show up i will be happy!

Re: yes/no response ratio
I heard that you usually get 20% no responses, I don't know how to write this so it makes sense lol. Our minimium is 150 we'll probably be inviting around 190 according to the theory.

Re: yes/no response ratio
I am worried about too many yes's. Our venue holds around 200 and we have 230 on the guest list. Everyone says that since it is July, many people plan to go away and we have nothing to worry about. On the other hand, I invited about 100 to my engagement party and only have 8 no's. I hope this all works out.
