Yesterday's dr visit

Patrick and I were at the doctor last night and found out that the baby weighs 5 pounds, is in position for delivery, and that I can go ANY DAY now!

I didn't have an internal (I think that's next week ) so I don't know if I'm dialated yet, but other than that, my baby and my body are are ready for the grand finale. This is both exciting AND scary!

My swelling is worse than ever (I actually have a FAT ROLL on my left ankel!!! ), but my BP and urine were 100% fine, so maybe no toxemia after all. WHEW!

It looks like I'm in the home stretch...

So glad to hear all is well - sounds like baby is ready to jet on out of there! How exciting!!!!

Take good care of yourself now and just get a lot of rest. Oh and put those ham sticks up on a table a few times a day and let them deflate!

now...your due date is november 11th - is it common to possibly go so early? I am so concerned i am going to end up in labor on New Years Eve......

Jen I was so swollen at the end it was pathetic!!! My BP was fine too. A couple of days after you deliver they will go back to normal and you will just keep admiring your own gams

Glad that all is well with you and baby. The last month is always a tough one. I always felt like I couldn't get out of my own way! . But just think of the wonderful little baby you will have at the end. It is all worth it.

Jenny, my doctor said that although the baby is ready, it may or may not make an early appearance. It's a 50/50 shot, but he said I need to be prepared for anything, everything, or nothing to happen.
It's not common for first babys to be early, so I'm guessing that although the Lima is ready, he/she may still hold out for the next 4 weeks.

Trish, I found someone I really think I like for my class, but the candidate needs to do a demo lesson first. Hopefully my principal and I will love the lesson, and then we're all set!
Otherwise, back to interviewing we go.

Michele, I also hope all 3 of us go on the same day. I wish we were all delivering at the same hospital too!
