Yesterday's Status

Remember what I wrote yesterday about not losing the weight and I wouldn't go to my wedding???
This 'I made up my mind!!!! If I don't lose the weight for my wedding day, I'm not going! Ha! **with my arms crossed and lifted eyebrows**'

Well I posted this as my status on FB yesterday and I got funny responses but the last comment I got was from HIS good/best friend who is now my maid of honor. She wrote this 'As the maid of honor am I supposed to act as a stand in bride?'

I don't know why but I found this comment to be very uncalled for. I mean I was clearly making a joke but her comment doesn't sit well with me AT ALL.

Am I reading too much into it? Please let me know. Thanks Ladies.

I think her joke is she's supposed to be there for you for everything as in fill in for you if needed! lol

I think since your status is clearly a joke (of course you aren't going to not show up to your wedding) she was just playing off it and made a joke herself!

Definitely don't read into it at all.

I can totally understand why that bothered you a little. It would piss me off too... even though it was just a joke. I really wouldn't get too worked up over it though. Your the one thats gonna marry him in the end so thats all that matters! Also like someone else said you were just making a joke too!!

I can understand you getting a little annoyed when first reading it, it can be a natural reaction. However, if you made her your MOH you must get along really well with her and trust her. I think it was just a joke, try not to read into it.

Yeah we do get along good but I made her my MOH cause I don't have sisters, only a sister in law and I don't have best friends. I had a really good friend that I had a fall out and at the time I wasn't really talking to her. So I decided to make her my MOH since she seemed to be so thrilled that her male best friend was getting married. Once I asked and she got the title she hasn't been the same. I think that me getting upset and annoyed with her is not just about that comment.... Ah whatever too much BS and I don't want to bore all of you.

Thanks everyone!!!!! I will not read too much into it. I need to learn how not to let those little things bother me!!!

However I willc omment on this...

THIS IS BAD IMO....

U DONT get a MOH JUST because tehre is NO one else...
I dont have a MOH & and I am fine with it because at first i thought 'I needed one' and I got TWO just because I dont have sisters...
and both fo them SCREW ME OVER....

So i would just ask U to 'reconsider' this...
Dont just get ppl in ur Bridal party to 'Fill' in the spots...
ITS BAD Chica...

This is UR DAY with UR FH.... Not the BP...

you could have just got BMs...

Somtimes U shoudl learn too 'If it doesnt feels right, you should change it NOW'...

I learn that By experienced & by reading it on the 'mistakes' thread I posted like couple of weeks ago from the newlydweds...

Yeah my MOH kinda stinks at times too. She's kinda a crappy friend at times and I just play if off because I don't care that much. I'm someone who likes hanging out with people but rarely gets super close to them. I just have experiences of people screwing me over so I'm guarded. I kind of have my BP because FH is super close with his friends and I feel like I have to measure up.

But yeah try not to let that comment bother you, she was probably trying to be funny.
