Yet Another QOTD...

Yet Another QOTD...

What is the most nicest thing your FH has done for you?

Mine is: When me and FH started going out he bought me my first car. Its not the car that was the nicest thing it was the suprise. I was sitting at home waiting for him to come and pick me up, at that time i was living in Queens and we weren't living together. I kept calling him b/c he was making me angry that he was late. I hate lateness. I was so pissed. Little did i know what he was doing. So my little brother said Simone let's go outside for minute i was like why, but i relentlessly went anyway. When i walked outside FH had about 5 dozen roses scattered all the way around the block which lead u[ to my brand new car. The car was covered with roses plus all the other beautiful roses i picked up off the ground.

I love him so much what more can a woman ask for. He's perfect and so sweet.

What is the most nicest thing your FH has done for you? He helped me get out of debt with my massive credit card bills.

Re: Yet Another QOTD...

FH is ALWAYS so so sooo nice to me - but I can pinpoint the 'nicest' ...

In 2002, I was away at school (Albany) and FH was at Cortland. We have been together since 2000, but the long distance thing was still a little rough.

All of a sudden, I had INTENSE abdominal pain - so bad I couldn't even stand up. My roomies wanted to call an ambulance, but FH said 'stay put, i'll be there ASAP'. He left his classes, hopped in his car and drove through a blizzard. The trip normally took 2.5 hrs from Cortland to Albany, but that day it took 5. He had NO $$$ on him, almost ran out of gas, but he made it.

He tossed me in the car and flew to the hospital. He stayed by my side the whole time (my roomies bailed...grr)

So after keeping me in a bed for HOURS and worrying us with ectopic pregnancies, tumors, etc, it turns out that I ruptured several Ovarian cysts (that I didn't even know I had). It was SO INCREDIBLY painful, and the Doctors scared us with so much... I was on Morphine, and I hadn't eaten anything all day.

I had to pee SO BADLY, so FH carried me to the bathroom, and held me over the toilet so I could pee. (I don't touch toilet seats - not even my own house.)

Hospital gave me lots of pain meds and kicked me out. I had so much morphine in me, and no food - I was sick the whole drive home. FH held my hair as I puked on the side of the road...

Got back to my room, I was sick allllll night. He stayed up with me the whole time (he had been awake for about 30 hrs so far), even forced me to consume saltines and powerade.

Next day, I passed out in the bathroom from dehydration. BACK to the hospital! HE was there again, when no one, not even my parents, was.

Drove me home from the hospital again, and gave me a purple rose from the gas station we stopped at.

He was so unselfish, and so concerned for my welfare...his heart was on his sleeve. It must not have been very easy for him to sit there as I received all kinds of tests, including (ew) internal ultrasounds ... yes, it goes in 'there'.

Thats when I lost all doubts that he was *the one*... I really love that guy.

oooo sorry so long, I get carried away.

He really goes out of his way every chance he can to do something that will make me smile...Something I can't even explain bc they are inside jokes that no one will get!!

But one thing that sticks in my mind:
It was Memorial Day Weekend 2001 & we were still 'just friends.' We had a conversation months back about things we really like...I told him i LOVED chocolate covered strawberries!!! Well he made me his own chocoloate strawberries & brought them with a little bottle of champagne....It was so sweet & I was so shocked that he remembered...He won me over at that moment...Kiddo was there to witness it all!

There are so many...but the night we got engaged was way up there...all the planning he did with the ring and then the place he proposed and asking my mom's permission...He put soooo much thought into it and it was PERFECT!!

He listens to me cry hysterically every night in regard to my father being so deathly ill. Last night, we were on the phone for an hour and a half and I was barely talking - just crying. He didnt say anything more than 'I love you and I am here for you' Thats all I needed. I wish Dad was well enough to know that I am being taken care of. He had a bad turn and moved back to the ICU at North Shore again from the RCU up the hill.

Oh no I know the nicest kindest thing he ever did...Can't believe I forgot this...Over the summer I was in a very bad car accident I was taken the hospital via ambulance and straped down to a board for hours upon hours!! I had to pee soo bad but they wouldn't let me get unstrapped for fear that I had bad neck injuries...so they hand my FI a bad pan for me to pee in....and he helped me go and then cleaned everything up....TMI..but that was sooo good and kind of him!

I can't think of one single thing....but he was patient with me when I decided I wanted to live in Scotland for six months. He spent a small fortune on calling cards while I trapsed around Europe. He also flew to London to see me even though he is completely afraid of flying.
