yet another thing started... but I'm going to need your help with it!
So, my weekend of wedding activity nicely rounded out with something I've been wanting to do for years...
I had my first guitar lesson!
I swear this gets wedding related, just stick with me.
I am a singer, I've sung since I was a little kid and took about 6 years of voice lessons, and I have always wanted to sing something at my wedding, and I've been trying to figure out how to accomplish that with an accompaniment (Because I can't play piano, I've tried, my hands just don't work that way), so, I decided that I will learn to play guitar, and in the next year and a half I can definitely get good enough to accompany myself and sing a song at the wedding! I'm thinking maybe I'll do the song during the ceremony, right before or after the vows, and surprise FH with it. I'm considering singing 'I'll Cover You' from Rent (although I'll need to play with it a little to make it a solo rather than a duet)
However, my big problem is that I get lazy and don't practice, and I'll never learn that way... so I need help! I need everybody I can get reminding me to practice, because that's the only way to build up finger callouses and get your hands moving fast enough.
So, who's going to nag me?![]()
