i stepped up the game and im cancelling all unnecessary CC and other shopping benefit cards that i just DONT need!!!

yeah... i havent shopped there in MONTHS.. and last time i went it was for xmas for OTHER people... so whats the point...

i need to keep my bills down to a min. and if anythign only use ONE card...

it will be tough, but this summer ill be workign ALOT more and i need to save as much as possible...

I don't know if you know this but I heard if you cancel any credit cards it ruins your credit score. So if you just cut them up and don't use them you should be fine. Just wanted to let you know in case you didn't want to lower your score. I put my cards away...lol

Yeah I hear ya.

Apparently it has something to do with how long you've had your card too. And having too many CCs also lowers your score (it makes you look like a credit risk if you have too many). So there's no exact formula - if you feel better cancelling your cards, don't be afraid to.

And congrats on doing what you have to do to not start married life in debt!

yeah, I heard the same thing. I have 1 major CC and a NY&Co, & a VC credit card. But I rarely ever use the store cards. I'm actually very proud of myself that I've been using my debit card and not a CC lately.

i have heard the same - i just carry 0 balance on all and keep them in a safe so I wont use or loose them!

i used to use my cards all the time, now i only use my debit and to me - it doesnt even make sense to use the CCs now if the money is in my account. its payed for immediately and out of mind when u use the debit!! YAY for now more CC debt! that was such a strain on my life haha
