Yikes! Calligraphy Ink Runs When Wet!!

Oh great! I want to mail out my invites tomorrow, but we're supposed to have a chance of showers for the rest of the week! So I tested the calligraphy on one of the envelopes by dripping some water on it. IT RAN!!!!!! (thank goodness it was an extra!).

I even went to Michael's and bought that fixative spray to make it waterproof and seal it. It STILL ran!

Now what should I do? Should I mail them anyway and take my chances? My calligrapher said she has mailed many to herself to make sure they are okay in the rain, and she's never had one come back runny.

Am I just starting to freak now that it's getting so close???

What would you do? Send them anyway?

I, too, had the same issue. I tested one of my extras and sure enough it ran. I bought the fixative at Michaels and tested another extra and it seemed to help a lot. I figured I couldn't control everything so I took them to the post office early Saturday. Don't drive yourself nuts!
