Yikes, not sure if I'll make minimum...

Seems as if I was getting sooooooo many yes's & I was stressing I'd have way too many people & now it looks like I might not even make the minimum of 140. I just re-read the contract & kids & vendors do not count towards the minimum. So I'm at 121 right now with 46 people (about 20 couples) that still have to reply. I have to really hope that at least half of those are yes. People I invited that I felt would be hurt if I didn't invite them are saying no & I left out people that I would've like to have invited & now it's too late, reply date is tomorrow. So upset...and my mom is upset because she was hoping for more people at the wedding...invited 208.

People will wait until the very last minute to respond FH and I thought the same thing but now we have made our minimum and then some..

A lot of times the late responders are yes. So don't worry yet.

Is it that you'll have to pay full price for kids and vendors if you don't meet your minimum?

I think you'll make it... I found that the later responses are normally yesses.... People that assumed you knew they were coming and didn't think they have to send in the card. Speaking of which my RSVP date is in 4 days and I'm still missing a lot!

I'm hoping that is the case. No, kids under 5 are free, 5-12 are half price as are vendors....They want 140 full-price adults.

Right - but if you don't make your minimum, then you can pay for the kids and vendors in full...and then you are at least saving on the half price meals.

Well don't two half priced people make up a full priced person? So two vendors or two kids should count as one person towards your minimum.

I totally know how you feel though, I'm worried we're not going to make our minimum, but I still have 1 week, and 46 RSVP cards yet to be returned.

Kids and vendors should count, we used them towards ours and still had to pay for 20 people that werent there, to make our min.

I got 7 yes's yesterday & my deadline 10 days ago! People forgot,were on summer vacation,etc.
You'll make your minimum.

You'll get it. I invited close to 190 and only had 122 at the wedding. Originally I told the hall I was going to have 160. They worked with me and didn't charge me.

I think you still have time.

I'm in the same boat: minimum is 100, I'll be happy if I have 75! Got way more no's than I was expecting.

I thought Sept would be convenient. I could see if it were July or August when everyone always has something going on, but one would think that Sept is when things settle down, kids back in school, vacations over, etc. I'm really stressing over this. And today someone who said yes had to back out - I'm sure this is just the beginning of this!!!
