Yipee..I had my shower yesterday!
First I have to say I was seriously thinking nobody in my BP loved me anymore because nobody would talk to me for 2 months because they were all scared they would slip up!! Everything was beautiful and my Bridal Party did a wonderful job! They had it at the Rose Cottage in Amityville and it was excellent! Two of my great aunts came over and told me how great the food was and how they plan to come back ( and these are picky old italian women!). The owner and staff were so nice and the service was excellent! My only complaint was the seating arragement...they had booths and it was awkward but we made it work!
We played the bingo game and it made opening the gifts more exciting for all the guests. Actually my MOH (my aunt) thought all the aunts wouldn't play but they were the worst!! They kept coming over and asking me if my china cup is considered a mug or if the electric knife is a utensil. It was very funny! They also had this other 'game' where they asked FH questions and then see if mine match! I hated that game! Frankly I can't remember from 4 years ago when we first kissed!
Before my shower I would check my registry everyday and I was getting nervous that not that many things came off. Well I don't know why people think it is so hard to just tell the cashier!! So I got a few doubles and also things that were not on my registry (why do people do this?)that are just not my taste at all. I was so happy I got all 12 of my china place settings, the large oval platter and the sugar & creamer(which my stepmom tricked me because I knew that they were getting it but then she told me they couldn't buy it for me because it was on backorder.)
My MOH said this speech that made me cry and was so beautiful. I can't thank her enough for the wonderful job she did!
