What an amazing journey it was…A trip we will never forget.
I have lots of pictures to share, Please Enjoy!!!
Southern Africa in a nutshell ;) …
Our first stop was Cape Town. We stayed at the Arabella Sheraton. It was a lovely hotel, very contemporary, GREAT beds, close to the V & A Waterfront & our room had great views of Table Mountain.
We had a guide take the two of us around the first day & show us Table Mtn. (simply stunning), the views are amazing. There are animals called “Rock Dassies” (sort of look like a prairie dog) that sunbathe on the rocks right next to you- they are really cute! Believe it or not, they are most closely related to the elephant! (Hope you don’t mind my commentary, I’m a wildlife junkie!!!)
We also made a stop @ Penguin Island- adorable little penguins running all around you!!! All with a turquoise water backdrop-What could be better!!!

Thank you for sharing your pics! I visited South Africa last January with my girlfriend and seeing all your pics was a great reminder of the incredible trip we had. We too visited Cape Town, Kruger, and Vic Falls!

For anyone who has the opportunity to go to South Africa I highly recommend it! It is a once in a lifetime trip and I would go back tomorrow if I could!!

What beautiful pictures! You sound like you had an amazing time! I went to Kenya 8 years ago w/ one of my girlfriends and it was truly a once in a lifetime trip.

Congrats! That's why I figured she wouldn't be around to respond to my questions...must be one good looking kid!

From my little bit of research the airfare and hotel were getting up at 5,000! I'd love to go to SA but I don't think we can afford it now (and at this rate, never!)
