You ever have an ugly day?

Ever since we got engaged, I've been so much more conscious about how I look and all the things I want to fix about myself before the wedding. I'm not ugly, but I just look tired all the time (even though I do sleep!). Big, big bags under my eyes, and I'm always pale and my hair is blah, and... well, I just feel unpretty. And I see all these pictures of beautiful brides! And all of you with your hair and makeup trial pics, and the newlyweds who post their beautiful pics...

Can they really do wonders with makeup and hair? Can all brides look pretty? I'm gonna be so embarrassed if my big day comes and it still looks like I've been staring at a computer monitor for sixteen hours a day... I'm ordering all these undereye bag products, but nothing's ever worked so far!

I used to be pretty. I kinda don't know what happened. Do the rest of you go through these neuroses or am I just being vain?

You are so funny. I am not photogetic (sp?) at all and was very nervous of how I would look in my pictures. My hair/makeup person did a wonderful job and I really liked my pictures.

since this engagement, i've been so much more conscious of everything - my smile, my skin, my nails, hair, etc. sometimes i feel guilty that i'm spending money on vain things, but we only get married once (god willing)!! i've even gotten back into the habit of wearing my retainer!!
