at the wedding I went to last night they didnt do a garter toss or a bok toss. Is this not something done anymore?

I have been to weddings where they don't do it. As for me I haven't decided yet. I know I will not do the bok toss just an anniversary dance. As for the garter, I'll let Fh decide.

some girls do and some girls dont. My sister in law did a bo-k toss with fake flowers that broke a part into many flowers and didnt do a garter toss.
I have no plans for either.

I've gone to weddings recently also and I haven't seen the bride and groom do that either. It is strange. I guess they are replacing it with other things during the night. I'd like to do it though.

I will be doing the bok toss, I WILL NOT be doing the garter toss, I cannot tell you how many things I find wrong with that tradition. I generally run out of the room to avoid catching a bok and having to have some stranger then place a garter on my thigh in front of my family and FH. No thanks!
(Obviously this is JMO, no offense to anyone who likes it, many find it very fun! Just not me)

i will not be doing a garter toss. i think its too inappropriate to be done in front of mine & FH's family. i will not be doing a bo-k toss either because there will be seriously like maybe 2 single people at my wedding.

I think it depends on the wedding. Also, if you don't have alot of single people there the couple might not do it.

I dont think I will do them...probably an anniversary dance. I'm one of my last friends to get married...so I feel like it would be a waste of time to do the bouquet toss

we're not doing the bo-k toss. i dont really like it. you single out all the people who are single and half the time no one wants to come up there and its embarassing.
we're doing the anniversary dance instead

i will be doing an anniversary dance and not the bok/garter toss. my dj gives each couple a light up rose while they are on the dance floor.
FH wants to doa reverse anniversary dance. starting with asking the couples married over 50 years to set and so on till it get to couples married less than a day, so that we win. he doesnt want to share the spot light! haha

i am definitely going to do the bok and garter toss...i think it's a lot of fun...i actually caught the bok at two weddings and i am the first to get married out of everyone so i am a believer=)

we dont know many single people so we are going to do an anniversary dance instead (even though i know my grandparents will be walking away with the flowers lol!!!) and i dont feel so comfy with FH's head up my dress in front of my father...so we might be passing up the garter toss... his head up my skirt = one p/o'ed overprotective father...
