You know what I miss from the 90s?

Guys in flannel shirts. I just watched a Jeff Buckley video where he's all in a flannel shirt. And then I think of Eddie Vedder - and sigh.

I miss that.

I miss wearing the flannel shirts!!!!! There's nothing better than tying one around your waist and having it handy if you need to put it on!!!!!!

I think I miss tying things around my waist...regardless of what particular type of shirt it was!

I don't miss all the hairspray though.

My job at the mall
My flat stomach
Getting before 1st period
Getting during lunch
Getting after school

I miss being in college, living mortgage free, being able to go out until 4am and still going to work/school the next morning. I miss riding my bike or rollerblading everywhere because I didn't have my license until I was 28

I don't miss wearing tie dye or bike shorts under my jean shorts. I also don't miss being ignorant of the fact that I have curly hair and therefore walking around with a cloud of brushed out frizz.

I graduated high school in 95 so...
I don't miss that. I would not want to go back there - although I do miss being involved in theater. I truly loved it. I got bit by the theater bug big time in HS. I wish I could go back to those nights of the shows...

I miss some of college. I miss the freedom. I miss my first love - we are still very close friends but I was just nuts about him... never truly got 'over' him.

I miss being a size 6. I REALLY REALLY miss being a size 6 with a flat tummy and a 34 c chest...

now I'm a size 10 and a 34 DD

playing spades in the cafeteria
decorating cakes in Haagen Dazs
the bomb in his green jeans and plaid shirt
playing manhunt (the game, for real)
my colorful Guess jeans shorts
making out...a lot.

writing
being on the cusp of life
