I think it is such a turn off when vendors talk trash about other vendors. Tonight I met with a vendor who completely bad-mouthed another vendor after he heard that I had met with him. I haven't decided which vendor I will choose, but I definately will NOT choose the vendor who was talking trash. Its so unprofessional. Sorry girls, just had to vent.

I agree and I dont really like it when a vendor asks me who else I've met with. Personally I think they should follow that old saying-if you don't have anything nice to say-say nothing at all.

I completely agree!! I went to see one vendor that all they did was bash another vendor while I was there. And they knew I was going to see that vendor next. I ended up booking the vendor they were bashing.

I agree. I had one vendor who did that, even after I booked. Ironically, he has some of the traits that he was talking trash about...

i actually purposefully asked my vendors about other vendors i was considering to get their reaction! I would never book a trash-talker.

i hated that too....some of my vendors actually had nice things to say about others though, and i thought that was classy...
i remembger in particular going to a showcase at my hall and the florist asking if they could help us, and we said we 'thanks but we already booked a florist', so they asked us who and we told them and they actually replied 'oh,yes, he is very talented!' which i thought was VERY classy!

I don't think the vendors realize how much what they say and who they say it to can hurt them. I wouldn't mess with a LIW bride.

Lots of DJs do that. I have noticed that ALOT. That was a big reason we picked who we did (aside from the fact that we think hes great) because a few other people we met with CONSTANTLY felt the need to talk bad about their 'competition'. that was such a turn off to both of us!
