you may think this is sick but....

I want to have my dog as a ring bearer. He is very well behaved and agreable to most of the stunts I have put him up to in the past. He is a small bichon and can be walked down the aisle in a tux by the flower girl...my mother said they would not let dogs in the church, but i think she just doesnt want me to do it... any opinions?

Do a search on the board about dogs. There was a post about it a few months ago.

How adorable!!!! That is SOOO CUTE!!! I dont think they will allow the dog in the church but every one is different. Ask them. Thats a really nice idea. Actually my photographer showed me some pics with dogs in the ceremony dressed up! If only my dog wouldnt lick people to death maybe we could...

Not at all!!

I think that`s a wonderful idea, if you feel confident your dog can handle the festivities. Pets are such a big part of the family, they are family. And family attends the wedding. I don`t think it would hurt any to ask the church, but be prepared for them to say no before you get your heart set on having your buddy at the wedding. Believe me, I can totally relate to how important and special this would be for you and I hope it all works out. Good Luck!
