Is anyone else as surprised by this as me, or am I the only one who never knew this?

Full House star Dave Coulier is finally speaking out about inspiring Alanis Morissette's bitter, break-out hit 'You Oughta Know.'
The comedian told the Calgary Herald that he dated the much-younger singer-songwriter – but that he had no idea she planned to take their breakup public.
When he first heard the song, 'I said, 'Wow, this girl is angry,' ' he recalled. 'And then I said, 'Oh man, I think it's Alanis.' ... I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, 'I think I have really hurt this person.' '
But there's no lasting animosity, he said – adding that the exes even decided to meet up once.
'We saw each other and hung out for an entire day,' he said. 'And it was beautiful. It was one of those things where it was kind of like, 'We're good.' '

Yeah, I heard this a few years ago. I think I heard it on Howard Stern because Stern was shocked to hear that it was about him.

but yeah i remember this rumor from when the song first came out. I think i heard the rumor before i heard the song. Then we all listened to the song to see what she is saying about him

thank you, i'm glad i'm not the only who was clueless i just never thought that he, of all people, would be the subject of that song.
i had never heard that rumor before until i saw it in my elevator at work, then i looked it up online. my excuse is that i was in college in 1995, and those are very hazy years.

so you might've heard but just forgot. Its ok you know now lol and im sure theres plenty of people who dont know

lmaoo.. I heard that years ago and when I told FH about it a few months ago (it was on the ipod) he told me I'm a story teller and couldnt i make something better up!
