So i took my dress on firday to be bussled and steamed, and my bridal place wanted almost $100 for a french bussle I talked them down of course, but was i being a total cheap-o when i refused to pay that much for a dang bussle, or was that a good deal? I mean its a bussle for peace sake....100 bucks to pin up my dress

I'm not sure, mine was included in my alterations, but that seems steep. Good for you for talking them down!

i have a french bustle...my dress is a little different so it needed a non-traditional french bustle.
they charged $600 for bustle & alterations.
I have to say, I really felt that charge! But the work he did was AMAZING!

It sounds like a good price....or I got ripped off too! I paid over $500 for my alterations and my bussle. (My bustle is detailed tho..not sure the exact name of it)

Yeah, I had that problem too. I was charged $175 for a double French bustle. I almost puked.

Yes...Mine is usally 250, but they dropped it to 145

well I pretty much had no alterations on the actual dress (just taken in a tiny bit at the top), so they included my pick up style bustle with my alteration cap of $175. but I'm thinking that $100 isn't that bad for a detailed bustle.....let me ask you though, how much did they charge you for your regular alterations?

didnt have any alterations done...luckly my dress fit me like a glove...so i got them down to 75 for the bussle and steam

My place doesn't charge for alterations, only the bustle and it was $100 for a regular, $150 for French, so that sounds normal to me ...

My alterations were a flat fee of $450 at Kleinfelds and I also got a french bustle with the sashes busteled so I think $100 is ok
