You won't believe this!

You won't believe this!

You will not believe the crap that I have to endure. I just got an email from my cousin who is divorced and living with another man.. She asked me why I did not invite her
ex-husband to the wedding. Actually her words were 'maybe it was a problem with the mail or maybe an oversight' Can you believe this?????

I invited her boyfriend who she has been with for several years and they live together.. But why would I be inviting her EX-HUSBAND TOO... I just can't get over that.. Can you believe it. I don't know if i should just ignore her email or if i should reply. I can not believe that someone is writing me an email about my wedding and who/who not to invite and why....
what do you girls think?

That's *weird*!

Tell her you didn't invite him because she's not married to him anymore, and whoever you invite is HER guest, which would be her current boyfriend!

How WEIRD!!

WEIRD DOES NOT EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN THIS WOMAN AND MIND YOU SHE IS LIKE 53 YEARS OLD.. SHE IS NOT A YOUNG KID WHO MAYBE JUST DOES NOT KNOW BETTER.. SHE IS A 53 YEAR OLD WHO DOES NOT KNOW BETTER......

That is downright weird(also rude) but defintely weird. Why would she even want to be in the same room with her ex husband and current boyfriend. You should tell her you will invite him if she pays for his seat......lol..that should keep her quiet.

Re: You won't believe this!

Yes they do have children... And I am sure she does feel that way.. But in essence she is saying to me

' I want you to invite both of my children, me, my boyfriend and my exhusband' And I cannot believe that someone actually has the nerve to send me an email about inviting someone to the wedding. It is outrageous..

While you are at it, you should invite her ex-inlaws too.

maybe she wants him there to make him cause shes with someone else.... simply tell her you have to keep the numbers down ... that usually shuts them up

Re: You won't believe this!

I think she wants him there because she feels that he is still family, but you know what their children are in their late twenties it is not like they don't know... I mean HELLLOOOO... i think my cousin also has to make a big thing out of everything... i have not even seen her in like 3 years but i am inviting her because she is my mother's cousin..And to be quite honest i could see her ex-husband in the street and he does not even know who i am... my brother got married 10 years ago.. they were still married then, but she was upset because her daughters were not invited to his wedding.. so because her daughter was so upset she stayed home and let her daughter go as her husbands guest.. So you see this woman has had issues with weddings before!!

That is sooo strange! People have the strangest ideas about what is appropriate sometimes, and it all seems to come out in wedding planning!

Re: You won't believe this!

Their children are 28 and 29... They are not kids. One of them even has her own kid..

Re: You won't believe this!

Sounds like nothing would make this woman happy, other than her own table for her extended family. That's pretty ridiculous.

Re: You won't believe this!

And now chances are if i don't reply to her she probably will not send her response.. Just to aggravate even more.. What do you think i should do? Do i reply to her or do i just ignore it?

Re: You won't believe this!

I think if you want to be tactful and create the least amount of wave, you should email her and tell her you had to keep numbers down, and add that your sure she understands. That way she'll sound nuts if she gripes about it.

Send her an email and tell her she could bring one or the other. Thats so STRANGE!!!

Re: You won't believe this!

She obviously has some issues, but that's her problem! Don't let petty crap like this get to you during your special time. It's an unneeded headache during an already hetic time.
