Young kids at wedding
my wedding is at 11am. Most kids going are over 8 so that I am ok with but I'm worried about little ones crying and being noisy during the ceremony. My cousin has two kids that at the last two things we had his kids were disruptive and my cousin didn't take them out if the room. The kids are 3 and 6. My mom is telling me I am wrong and she's so angry. Am i wrong here?

You're not. I am having the same issue and my wedding is at the same time as yours. We are in the same boat.I have had conversations with my cousins and told them my feelings.
It is something that I'm a little worried about but at the end of the day, I don't know what else I can do about it.
I tried the 'no kids' route and that just didn't work out.

I put no adult only ceremony and reception. I am making an exception for my nieces and nephews so about 10 kids total. I'm sorry but it's what I want for my day. I've been to adult only receptions and it was so much better.

My kids are 10 and 15 so I am thinking of no kids under age 8 will be invited. That though would be my cousins kids and my FH cousins kids. He's ok with this and so am I but its my mother!

I definitely know how you feel! I'm trying to not have any kids (except ring bearer & flower girl who will be 7 and 4), but we will see how that works out. I already know that the flower girls sister will most likely be coming (who will be just shy of 2 at the time so at least I don't have to pay for her) bc her mom will not trust anyone watching her kids, so I'm hoping she will be ok (ceremony is 5:30).

I don't think you're wrong at all. We're having an adults-only reception. The youngest kids there will be my cousins who will be like 16 at the time. It's perfectly okay to have an age cut-off and just explain it to the parents. They could be understanding or they could flip out, but it's YOUR day. Not your mom's and not theirs. Do what's gonna make YOU happy =)

Not wrong at all! I'm actually all for a kidless wedding; however, we have 4 nieces and nephews under the age of 3 and they are our 'wedding party' so I'm not expecting a silent ceremony. But FH and I are okay with it.
