Your BEST bridal shower memories...

I'm trying hard to give my friend the best shower ever. I'm gathering ideas from all over but nothing really stands out yet. I'm hoping you would post some of the best memories you have from your bridal showers, or bridal showers you've attended in the past.
Thank you very much for your help.

My favorite thing done at my shower was everyone bringing there favorite recipes for me and placing them in a recipe box. I got so many good recipes and now have a nice family collection.

I love the recipe thing too. My shower was around Christmas, and my sister had everyone bring an ornament for a wishing well gift. I loved it!

My BM's gave us luggage and put a clothesline of undies and such in one bag and when we pulled it out it went nearly across the room. They said it was for the honeymoon. They also read out a couple of funny poems.

I was the MOH for my older sister, so for her shower, here's what we did:

it was held at a restaurant in Northport. since she didnt want to have a bachelorette party, we brought the hottie stripper to the shower---after all the gifts were unwrapped, mr. hotness surprised and delighted the 50 ladies...it was awesome! Then the bridal party chipped in to get a video camera for the bride and groom--great gift, and we captured all of the stripping and the whole shower on tape for my sister.

The stripper was a great surprise for my sister--and imagine the look on my mom and grandmother's faces when this diesel muscle-man flexed in their faces....It was truly priceless, and worth every minute.

As a brides maid in another friends' wedding, we brought a laptop to the shower, and had created an Excel spreadsheet of all the shower invitees---we typed in all the gifts, making it super-easy for the bride to write her thank-yous---and no one had to match cards with gifts!!!

Then, as part of the gift from the brides maids, we gave her all of her thank you notes with the addresses on the envelopes! What a time-saving idea!

We also surprised her with a big, wooden Hope Chest--which is a great gift from the bridal party.
