Your Bridal Shower...

One of these posts just had me thinking...How many of you had or will have a 'surprise' shower? How many of you will know about the shower, but not be involved with planning it?

I am going back and forth with whether or not I want a 'surpise' shower. I am so hard to surprise and I don't want to disappoint people who planned really hard to surprise me. On the other hand, it would be GREAT if they could pull it off! I really do love surprises, but like I said...I usually see it coming from a mile away.

I know one is being planned, but I don't know when it is and I was not involved in planning it.

Mine was a surprise. I had no clue. My MOH and BM's planned the whole thing right under my nose. I really wouldn't have had it any other way. I think for me to plan my own, would have been wayyyy to much stress so close to the wedding. I knew they were having one for me, I just didn't have a clue about anything.

Well as much as I feel I wanted to know so I may be prepared! I think I wont be finding out, and when I was teasing FH to tell me, he ask if I REALLY wanted to know. And well I caved and said no. SO a Surprise it will be. Although I am sure I can narrow it down a bit..gonna be a sunday, getting married in MAy..ummm Cousins shower is in MArch..umm..LOL

My mom has already asked for my help in planning it, asking me when I want it and if I want a theme and stuff like that, there will be no surprise

Mine will not be a surprise. My mom is throwing it but she lives in NY and I live in NJ ( she doesn't drive). I will be helping her plan... basically doing all the leg work lol.

I am not planning it at all, but I do know the date since I need to be in MD for it.

Because I live out of state and my Shower will be in NY my mom told me when it is. However I am not involved in the planning at all. Mommy and my MOH are doing all the planning. She just told me when I need to be there! Cant Wait!!

i went with my mom to book it! lol, its at the milleridge inn!
she will do most of the planning, but i am sure she will ask my imput lol

i didnt wanna be surprised at all!!

I don't want a surprise because I want to be able to get my hair blown out and have a nice outfit, I won't ask question about it so it can be a surprise in that sense but I need to at least know when it is

i'm alittle bit of a control freak- LOL
so i'm helping my mom alittle bit- just pick the place and the date since my MOH is from upstate i wanted to make sure she can come down for it.
and i might pick the favors and then thats it.

I'm not involved in the planning at all - my mom and sisters are taking care of it. I know I'm getting one -that's about it.

We're having a wedding shower and will know the date of it but will not have anything to do with the planning.. We have 4 kids and a very busy life... trying to throw a surprise for us is next to impossible...

Mine is supposed to be a surprise but I think I've narrowed down the date, I know the theme but am not involved in any of the planning.

I want mine to be a complete surprise! That's fun for the people planning (mom, MOH and BM's)...and even fun for FH as he will probably be the one to get me to it!

Downfall is FMIL LOVES to ruin surprises...she's done it in the past and even two weeks ago...told FIL the sex of his first grandchild when he didn't want to know!

ill know about it and prob help out a little like with guest list and stuff... i just feel bad... my mom doesnt speak english very well and wouldnt even know where to begin so i dont want to overwhelm her and my MOH (aka sister) is pretty much useless and is my moh my default so i feel like im going to need to help out
