Does anyone remember the scenes from Father of the Bride, in which the parents expressed how they felt about meeting one another? Mary MOB

We had briefly met them two times before (once more than 10 years ago) and I have spoken twice on the phone to the MOG since they have been engaged. They seem very nice, so we're looking forward to seeing them again (though I just spent the past 20 minutes trying on different things to wear tonight!)

That's exciting!!!!!!! Did you decide on an outfit yet?
Are you going to meet somewhere special? I can't wait to meet Fred's Parents!! His Mom, Beverly, has always been so sweet to Debi!! I hope she likes me!!!!!!!!! Mary MOB

I'm lucky both my sons married into wonderful families. But if I had to pick which I liked better I would have to say Nina's family. They are such wonderful people, not that the others are not because they are, but we get along with Nina's family better. They are more like us and just wonderful. I love them all from her mom, dad to her sister, brother and nephew.....just wonderful people.

Here's hoping we can connect with Fred's family!!
Debi has told me that Beverly likes to watch 'Heidi' I like sentimental movies like that.
She also reads, and does puzzles. I use to read, until I got my computer. Fred said his Mom doesn't want a computer, but I wish she had one, so we could keep in touch and I could send her pics of Deb/Fred. I know we both like to do nice things for people, and Beverly must be a bit on the
crafty side, as she decorated a pic album, for Deb/Fred's Engagement. She must be fun, because she gave Debi Bridal Paper Dolls!!! I gave Debi the Precious Moments storybook, on a wedding, so it seems we have some thoughts in common! As for Fred Sr. I've seen a picture, and he looks like fun! He rides a Harley!! My Husband actually asked me if we should get motorcycles!!
I have half a mind to shock everyone and learn to ride one!! I recently read an article about Anne Beiler, 'Auntie Anne' of pretzel fame, and she rides a cycle!! Anne and her two Sisters, Fianna, and Becky, who were the 'Triple Hearts Trio' about 35 yrs. ago, sang at our wedding!! Mary

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU ON A MOTORCYCLE!!!!!!
It sounds like you will connect with them. I agree that if she had a computer too then the two of you could be emailing and getting to know one another that way first. Then you would be old friends when you met in person.
