YOUR GOWN PLAN????

OK ladies, what is your plan as far as picking up your gown? How many days before, where are you keeping it?

I was told I need to pick it up like 2-days before and let it out of the garment bag to prevent wrinkles, only problem with that is, I live with my FH

I was thinking the same thing. I am staying at a hotel the night before with my BM's and was planning on picking it up then and when I get to the Hotel, take it out. My DOC said it would be better to have it out a couple of days before.

I got mine at David's so I had to pick it up when it came in (they don't store them)...SO it's sitting in my closet for the next 8 months...AND i live with FH!

nahh im still doing it the day before.
My fsil got married 2 years ago and picked up her ballgown the night before at 7pm and her church was the next morning at 10am
She steamed it and all was well

I picked mine up the day before and did not touch it. I hung it in my mom's room.

I did not steam my dress by myself at all (I would be too scared that I would ruin it). They took care of steaming at the bridal shop.

Is your FH staying at your place the night before??? If he's not then take your dress out of the bag when he leaves. Try to pick it up the day before your wedding if you can.

We are not seeing eachother the night before, I am staying at a Hotel with my BM's. I am going to pick it up the day before. It's the easiest way and if it needs to be steamed, I will ask the Hotel.

My cousin (who is a BM) lives next door to me so I am probably going to keep it at her house until we MOH and I leave for the hotel the day before the wedding.

That's perfect!!!

i picked up mine 2 days before my wedding. i kept it in the room of my friend who came from OOT...and since we were staying at the same hotel the next nite...all i had to do was go to his room and bring it to my room the next nite.

i didn't take it out of the bag or anything. phyllis had already steamed it and everything. just took it out on the big day

I'm bringing mine home 2 days before..

That's my problem too!!!! I totally wasn't expecting to bring it home so soon from them. Right now it's hanging in a spare room I put a dark curtain over the door where its hanging so it's out of sight out of mind.
