So- I've only got 120 days left and I don't have a set color scheme yet. I looked on all the threads for pictures and samples of hunter green but most often its used as an accent color and not really hunter. Which is maybe what I should do since I told my BM's to go out and get clover or peridot and since they all live in different states they went on line and ordered hunter... then emailed me the dress. Does anyone have any pictures or color schemes to make hunter look really nice? I want like a candlelit, victorian, elegant feeling. I dont' know how to make one of those collages with all different colors and ideas. TIA
I assume you dress ivory in the pic...not white...how about just accenting it with gold...or if its white, then silver.

Re: Your ideas
yes, it is an ivory... actually almost a champagne. I do like the way gold looks with hunter- any other colors you know of that I could focus on and make the green like just a backdrop. I thought pastel pink but it looks weird with such a deep color.

Re: Your ideas
I think I would like some shades of pink with it, or maybe even like candlelight, ivories, golds, champagnes, light peaches? There are lots of roses that would like really pretty with it in combination....also, DH's cousin got married and had just her MOH, and she wore hunter green....I think the flowers were deep reds and yellows, and the bride had ivory or white and yellows...it was a nov. wedding....here's a bad pic, but you can get the idea:
A lighter bright pink ... like a coral almost? Or that pink color that you always see with lime green? Isn't there a wedding website where you pick a color and it gives you all different combonations with it? The colors are set on a charger plate, a dinner plate and a napkin... each one a different part of the color scheme. I've been looking for it but can't find it.

Re: Your ideas
i actually saw something in a fashion mag recently that says purple and green are complimentary colors. I think it actually does look lovely. kind of unexpected.
or what about another shade of green keeping the green theme?
i think brides.com has a colorwheel. if not, maybe do a search for colorwheel.

Re: Your ideas
I am getting married at the woodlands i think doing green and gold might be too 'matchy' and blend in because that is the color of the hall. I think there is a color wheel on brides. I know that martha stewart weddings has a whole color scheme thing too.

I agree with Nicole. I'm a fall Woodlands bride and my colors are deep reds, purples and oranges. I would try and stay away from cream colors b/c it will just blend in. You can always do plain white. LornaNPeter had white orchids ? I believe. Looked beautiful

What about accenting Hunter Green with Burgundy and gold?

Re: Your ideas
Honestly, I think that white calla lilies would be beautiful.....you could also use any fall colors.
I have a picture of my mock up centerpiece....of course it doesn't look nearly as good as it will when the florist puts it together.
Good luck!
