hi all--can someone please explain to me what the real deal is with the AI's? Some people say they love them and prefer them, others say they are overcroweded, dirty, and weird. It seems like a love/hate kind of thing. ANyway- can you post if you like them or not. why or why not. jsut trying to feel out if its for me and FH or not. thanks!

Re: Your opinion...
i really think it all depends on where u go. the good thing is the fact that u can eat and drink howeve much you want. but then sometimes that could limit you as well if you wanted to try something new.

Re: Your opinion...
I had one of the best vacations of my life last year at the Moon Palace in Mexico and it was all inclusive. It was soo good that we decided against Greece for our honeymoon and are doing All Inclusive Aruba instead

Re: Your opinion...
I have heard great things about the sandals all inclusives and really liked the idea because of the whole wedding/honeymoon budget...it's kinda nice to know about how much you'll be spending, minus extras, but you know what I mean

Re: Your opinion...
I think it depends on the resort. Some are geared towards couples and Honeymoons- like Sandals. Others are for families, others are for partying, and others are just nice and for whoever. Def read about places on tripadvisor. Think about what sort of atmosphere you want and what things are important to you and you should be able to find a place that will be perfect for you and your FH. Some I know about that seem popular and nice (but i have never been to) are:
Royal Hideaway- riv. maya Secrets- riv. maya Excellence- Punta cana and riv. maya Sandals- various locations Couples resorts- jamaica

Re: Your opinion...
it depends on the location. i personally try to stay away from AI only because I really like to try new restaurants and things in the area. I like to take dinner cruises and things like that which I feel guilty doing when I've already paid for AI meals. Also, the AI food tends to not be too good so if I do AI, I make sure the reviews are all good on the food even if the resort doens't get all positive reviews. Then again, we really like to eat. I know some people who dont care about this. I recently went to Mexico where there weren't any restaurants I really wanted to try so I went AI and it was great and super easy. Depends on what you like to do.
