Your opinions - What do you think of this idea

Friend is dancing with her dad to Butterfly Kisses and at the part where he says 'I'll Give You Away' her husband is going to cut in.

Honestly, I don't like the idea. I think she should dance with her dad the whole time. But that's just me - I guess I'm old fashioned.

Although it's a cute idea .. imho I personally think that she should dance with her dad the whole time. After all, it's a father-daughter dance.

i think it's fine ... i'm not a traditional bride at all (nor do i have such a great relationship with my dad) so i would totally do something like that.

BUT it really has to be done right ... like, if people aren't listening to the words and see the groom cutting in, they might be confused.

This is my father daughter song too and I personally would not want to do something like that. He deserves his own dance, my husband already got the first!

Also agree, people don't always listen to lyrics and might be confused

Good point. Never thought of that.

Honestly, I agree with this. People stop watching the dance after the first 30 seconds. Sweet idea, but peple will def. not get it.

I used that song for my father daughter dance and I would not recommend what your friend is doing. It is going to ruin the moment for her and her dad. It may also cause confusion with the guests (like the other girls said)...people may be left scratching their heads wondering why the groom cut in...JMO
