Your response time?

Your response time?

Hola ladies, I am figuring out the rsvp by date for the cards..originally was going to do by August 5th..but now (of course the night before print) I think that perhaps giving more time, August 10th may be better....not sure..what was your timing like, wives or brides to be?

I am mailing them all out on or about July 1st..

I mailed them out with about 6 weeks to respond. My rsvp date was June 10th, my wedding is July 11th. I would recommend having the rsvp date about 6 weeks before because I am chasing people for rsvp's. I mean calling and emailng with still no response!

I have a response date of September 10th... just about one month before my wedding date. I think either the 5th or 10th would be absolutely fine! HTH!

I gave three weeks. So they will have 4-5 weeks to consider and answer. I need to inform my venue 3 days before the event so that is plenty of time.

We're putting October 10th

I think either date is fine for you!

Go with your original thought...you definitely want one month before.

Thanks! It is really annoying. I'm fearing the next wave where people call to cancel last minute!!!

I think August 5th is better because it will give you more time to chase down the *&^%s that don't send them back by the due date and so that you can do your tables (I am getting married July 20th and my response date is June 20th).

Re: Your response time?

I mailed our invites out 2 months before our wedding (May 9th). Our response date was June 14th about 1 month before the wedding. We are missing about 20 RSVPs. Not too bad. The late RSVPers all keep saying 'oh....I mailed it a week ago' Yea....okay....how is it that I got everyone elses with no problem and now these 'Nos' some how got lost! I just think it's people who are embarassed.

Anyway...I wouldn't make the response too too early. I think you'll be safe doing the response with a month in advance.

Re: Your response time?

I'm getting married on a holiday weekend so I mailed them with about 10 weeks to go and I gave a response date of exactly one month before the wedding (so I guess they had six weeks to respond).

i did exactly 1 month before. honestly i think you should just keep it at the 5th. people are going to be late anyway and this will just give you more time to expect ones after the date when people are like 'oh shiiit i didnt send this yet and its due' if you make it later than some people are just going to wait till latr because they 'have more time'

Re: Your response time?

My wedding is Nov 16 and I put the RSVP date as October 17 (it's a Friday and I wanted either a Friday or a Monday)...I'm sure a lot of RSVPs will come in after the RSVP date, so I say keep it August 5 or maybe even push it back to August 1.

Hey date twin. I was thinking of doing a response of Aug. 1st. It just gives a bit of extra time. plus if I dont get them by that day I have the weekend to start calling people. I guess I better start printing my invites. Yikes!
