Your Shower Dress...

Hey I've seen a lot of girls posting dresses that they plan on wearing for there Bridal shower. This might be a dumb question but...most of you I know are not planning it yourself and the date is pretty much a surprise too, I assume. So how can you know what you will be wearing?

The only thing I can think of is that most of you secretly know when it is but are blissfully playing along ...is this the case???

That or they buy the dress give it to one of the people throwing it (MOH, their mother or another BM) and they bring the dress for them.

I asked my MOH the same thing. Im like so I have to give my mom the dress with my shoes and jewelry that I want to wear with it? And then she'll bring it to the place because its a surprise right?
And shes said yes OR she can tell me what day but not tell me where. But to me that defeats the purpose so Im gonna give everything to my mom.

as for me, i picked the place and date so im able to know what im going to be wearing i plan on getting there before everyone else does also... no one is ever surprised (not that i know of at least) so why even bother... im not a good actress...

omg...thats such a good idea! That way you will still be 'surprised' but not looking a hot mess! lol I will def. do that!

I only know the date, not the place, theme, ANY thing else. This way, I can know my nails will be done, etc..

Also - for girls that DONT know ANYTHING - they give their entire outfit (jewelry and shoes, too!) to their mom or MOH and they know to bring it to the site for the bride to change into.

Well, my father blew it for me, so now I can plan my outfit.

HOWEVER, had that not been the case, I don't think I would have given my sister my dress to hold or anything. Whatever the rouse would have been, I usually dress fairly nice if I'm going to a party or event, so at the very least I'd be wearing a peasant skirt and be presentable, and I would have been ok with that.

I only know the location and thats b/c my mom left the direction cards on the tables LOL!
But I really dont know anything else.
I'm buying a dress and giving it to my MOH or my Mom so they can bring it to the shower so I can change.

im just going to try to figure out when but anytime i have a clue ill just put it on or take it with me
