I just called my Bridal Gown store and asked them if I can come it and see my dress. They were like sure you can LOOK at it but if you try it on you have to pay the rest of it off. God!
Should I pay it off or wait?

WHAT? I don't have to pay the balance of my gown until I pick it up, that is ridiculous. You should be able to do anything you want.

Re: Your thoughts
That's crazy!!!. I have to pay the balance of my dress on the day of my first fitting which isn't until 6 weeks before. I can try it on as many times as I like before that. I would ask them if this is in writing and to show it to you because that seems excessive.

Re: Your thoughts
Thats nuts. I go to Macys all the time to try on my dress. They know me now. Something sounds fishy to me.

Re: Your thoughts
I kinda see why they'll want you to pay it off if you TRY on the dress... it might get dirty or ripped... or maybe you'll change your mind and not like it anymore and they are out the rest of the money.

That's what I think. I tried my gown on when it came in just to make sure it was close to a fit. Shop was accommodating and didn't ask for any mroe $.

That is ridiculous, I have tried on my gown like 5 times, and never once did they ask me to do that. Tell them off!!!

I've tried my on already the day it came in.. I still owe half on it.. oh well.
that's NJ for you.. (haha i'm allowed to say that, NJ born and raised)
if you really want to see it then i'd say just pay it, stupid store policy though

Re: Your thoughts
I paid the balance when I went to try on my dress. I didn't think twice about it at the time because I was so excited but, it doesn't make sense.
I would recommend though going to visit it since if something is wrong, there's still enough time to correct it.

Re: Your thoughts
I don't agree with what they said but I would just pay it off, you are going to have eventually anyway. It will be just another thing out of the way.
