Where are you getting, or where did you get your cake? How much are you paying per slice?

If you girls remeber I got quoted $10 a slice for this baby, I kind of lost all hope in finding a quality baker that can do a pretty cake soon after that...

Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream.
Nothing crazy, she said it would cost that much because of all the work with the fondant.

Ours is like $2. It is $271 and does 135 people. Then the Groom's cake is $85.

hi there.
i would highly recommend contacting marisa from sugar coated inc.
you can see my e party cake in album which she did -- it came out amazing & was delicious..she's very talented & im sure would be able to do something like that quite easily...and definitely for less than $10 per slice.
tell her that natalie referred you. i actually have a 2nd order im getting from her this friday for will you be my bridesmaid cookies.

I know cake decorating can be hard and people put alot of time into it. However, $10 per slice is a bit much. I would think that $6 a slice is a bit much , but $10???
I would go to someone else and give them a picture of what you want. Fondant isn't that hard to work with and if you want a cake like the one in the picture, all they have to do is cut strips out of the fondant and place it on. It really isn't that difficult. Go find someone else.

Mine was included by my RH. $10 is INSANE!!! I know Cakes by Jay charges less than that. Maybe try him out. HTH!

mine is included. I would not spend any more then $2 per slice thats just me! Ours is from Black Foresst and they are so good try there!

i wanted to spend more $ a custom cake..but then i started looking at all white cakes and i kind of change my mind and want to keep it simple with white and flowers, so ill look at which ones my RH has to offer since theyre included, if not ill get it custom made if i can find someone that isnt too expensive

I think it was like 1400 for 176 ppl. I have 4 tiers and it's pretty elaborate with fondant.
