You've got to be kidding me . . .

Am I the only one that wasn't aware that on May 14, 2007, the USPS postage rates will be changing and going up AGAIN!!! This is getting ridiculous

Yeah, how annoying is that? I found out after I spent over $100 on invitation and response card stamps! Now I have to go and buy the 2 cent stamps to add to the response cards to make sure that they get delivered. I'm kinda mad b/c I spent so much money to have elegant looking invites, and now they will be cluttered up with ugly stamps! And I called the post office yesterday to find out if I could exchange the 39 cent stamps I just bought for the 41 cent ones, but she told me no! I think the person who sold them to me should have at least mentioned that the postage rate was going up soon!
I know it sounds like I'm being a bridezilla, but this is kind of annoying!

Seriously! I feel like I should own stock in 2 cent stamps! Everytime I think I won't need them anymore, I have to buy more because they keep raising the prices!!

:shock: Thats horrible You'd think when they ask if their for a wedding they would know that theres an rsvp date obviously after the rate change and would tell you!!!

UGH- it is so annyoing, we needed to send our invites before Apr 12, and the RSVP date is in May, so my perfect, gorgeous linen envelopes (I am a bit obsesed with my invites) are now cluttered with horridly ugly 2 cent stamps, which by the way, only come in one disgustingly ugly design----aRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG

No I don't think you are being a bridezilla at all I am highly annoyed and our invites aren't even going out until the summer so I can only imagine how you feel.

Yeah, the 2 cent stamps aren't too elegant looking. But I found 3 cent stamps that are a maroon color with a silver teapot on it. They're a little more elegant looking and only 1 penny more, so I'll probably get them.

At least the good part is...if your invite is over 1 oz. It actually ends up being cheaper if you send after May 14....

If you go onto the website, this increase is going to be called the forever stamp, therefore freezing postage prices for a while.

I was worried too since my save the dates aren't in yet, but I bought the stamps. However, she assured me they would be in next week so I will be able to mail them out before the deadline -- whooosh!
