You've visited X number of RH's. What Happens Next???
So you've made your rounds and seen how ever many reception halls you wanted to and now you've basically decided which one you want to book. Whats your next step....
Do you call them and book over the phone? Do you set up another appointment to sit down with the BM? Do you try and negotiate anything more or do you go with the info he gave you the first time you met with them?? Or did you book right on the spot on your very first visit?

You go back and try to negotiate in person. Decide if there is anything you really want which is not included - bargain for that. If there is anything you don't want that IS included, try to get them to take it away and lower the price. Figure out how many people you can guarantee. If it is way over their minimum, negotiate with that. Tell them you were getting a similar deal at such and such a RH for a great price and get them to match it. Don't be afraid to look them in the eye and say 'I can't pay more than $$'. It can't hurt to try!

Go back and negotiate, just like the previous poster said. Make them throw in things for you. Everything is negotiable and there is always something they can 'throw in'. Good luck!

So its okay to say to them....at so-and-so RH , when I went they were willing to give me THIS....can you match that??? Do they go for it, you think??? I think I just get nervous that they're gonna play hardball and not budge an inch when I hear of some many others who get freebies thrown in.

That's exactly what I did. I said X place is willingto give us oen price for asimilar package. WE're torn between the two and we're going to go with the lower one unless you match it.
Believe me, I am not a hardball kind of person at all but it was important to get the best price possible on the RH since that's the biggest expense! When you think that $5 less a head times 200 people equals big bucks, it's worth it to try

Your right !! I just get so nervous...Im really not good at the whole negotiating thing.....only because I feel like they can be such salesmen and they know just what to say to you and you have to be Strong and not settle bc its suppose to be your big day (and a BIG expense!) lol

They expect you to negotiate - have you noticed that they tell you one price at first and then as you start going through all the numbers they make you feel like you're getting a deal by knocking a bit off? I had a little bit of an advantage b/c I booked only about 8 months before my date so they wanted to fill space but I'm sure they want to fill as many spots as early as possible too! Be strong!!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement!! Theres 2 for far that we really like and we have 2 more to go see this Sunday --Majestic Gardens and Thatched Cottage...then I figured the 2 or 3 we really liked we would go back and talk to them again...see who'll break down the most and give us the best deal !!

and keep in mind...if you really love the place and want to book it anyway- it doesn't matter if they don't budge....it can't hurt to ask!!!

well you dont have to say so and so Rh told me this if you're afraid to do that...Just when they tell you the price, say you have to think about it bc you were hoping to pay a little less and see what they say. Or go in there telling them your budget and see if they can work with it

not quite sure, I visited a ton, made a list of my top 3 choices & plained that we would do food tastings at all three & decide from there. Well my FH & FILs loved my 1st choice & the food so we booked there
