wedding music this morning. they were playing like Hands Up, Celebration, Macarena, Electric Slide, We Are Family etc. it was sooo funny. i don't know what weddings they go to though b/c i'm not playing any of those!!!

Me too! All the weddings that I have been to over the past year played none of these, included MANY o thers, and to be honest I personally missed them so i am definitely playing them
We're not playing any of them either!! They only 'trendy' song I will be playing is Cotton Eye Joe because all my friends know I love to dance to that one.

i'm not having anything but the Cha-Cha slide and ONLY bc it reminds both of us of our first trip we took together. We had a blast!

me too! I'm a teacher and have done ti at som many proms that I actually enjoy it... thats the only crusty one we are having

The Cha-Cha Slide is the ONLY one we are playing and thats only because FH really wants it. The rest will be on the DO NOT play list

okay seriously I think its funny some of those songs...to be played at a wedding when people have been drinkin. Those are the songs that everyone knows how to do. I mean of course thats not ALL they will play but seriously...

im with you with the exception of cotton eye joe. i love those songs. to me one of the best parts of the wedding.
DORKS UNITE!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Cotton Eyed Joe! I love cheesy songs - they do get everyone on the dance floor and create such a powerful energy! It's amazing to get a whole bunch of people doing the same thing at the same time without a ton of work! When everyone is singing and belting and throwing their hands up and dancing around - that is truly THE BEST! I don't know - maybe it's just me but all these restrictions just seem no fun!

I am totally with you on that! I think its great when everyone gets up for the chessy songs...because then they stay up there dancing! I want everyone having THE BEST time at my wedding...that is all I ask that you enjoy yourselves even if we are all doing the chicken dance.
so im totally with the united dorks group!!
and im also into doin the cotton eyed joe...bc i FINALLY learned it! haha
