Zoom/Britesmile

First off any idea which is better? Which is more cost efficient

Also I got this email and wanted to share since I know some of you are looking to do teeth whitening. I was quoted $600 for Zoom at my dentist.

BriteSmile Spas is offering a $69 TEST DRIVE for a very limited time. Come in for a 20 minute treatment and see the instant results. If you like what you see, and who doesn’t, then you can upgrade to the full 60 minute treatment for an exclusive Spaweek.org members only price.

To Test Drive a whitening call 888-746-8741. This offer in only available through November 30, 2007 and is not available online. Call today as appointments are limited.

Are you interested in BriteSmile’s full 60 minute treatment and not the 20 minute Test Drive? Call today for your Spaweek.org exclusive $369 price. 1-888-746-8741.

I know i have posted this before, but please becareful with these things.

I had britesmile done and it hurt so bad afterward. I thought my teeth were going to bleed, they are so sensitive i couldnt even open my mouth..

Also, if your teeth arent really discolored you are not going to see much of a change. I honestly do better with white strips and they are much cheaper....

First day was really bad, i couldnt even open mouth, i couldnt drink anything... second and third day they got better. The front two were really sensitive for a while and even now, when i drink something really cold or really hot the front two hurt.
Doing britesmile does permanent damage to your teeth because it strips away the enamel. Plus my teeth were pretty white to begin with so there really wasnt much change....If i saw a huge change i might be like 'okay, the pain was worth it'

But it wasnt....

Don't waste your $$$$. I did Brite Smile and within 2 weeks your teeth are the same shade as you started and at that the results weren't even that great. I went to a spa in Soho it didn't hurt but the effects do not last long at all...

Thanks...i remember someone had said a while ago that they did it and had problems, I just couldn't remember who and which treatment.

Maybe Zoom wouldn't be as bad?

I think the whitening strips are the best--my dentist said he would rather do that on me than the zoom or anything else--the dentist (or at least mine) have a higher prescription of the crest strips than the drugstore does---and it was like $55--so ask about that

Yeah, I also think Mizzdimple posted that it stained her teeth or something...

If you go to drugstore.com you can order the higher peroxide % white strips..... much better for your teeth...

I'm not really sure about the strips...my mother has told me they don't help her at all because they only cover so much. Plus I think she said they only work for the top teeth and not the bottom.

It didn't make much of a difference for her.
