OMG...What can I say about Liweddings.com that haven't said already. It is amazing ! I found this website three days after DH and I get engaged and my first post was looking for venue to have my wedding and following many posts afterward. I have chatted with many amazing girls and thank you for all your help, ladies and Ron, Liz & Kim !

Sunday May 24, 2009 was the best day of my life. I married my best friend and the love of my life and had a wonderful time. I couldn't ask for a better wedding ! When I started to plan my wedding, I had no idea how expensive wedding could get but soon I realized that the service I get would depend on the type of money I spent. DH and I budget on everything we spent. We only splurge on areas that is very necessary and can still have a beautiful wedding. THe goal of our wedding is to have less guests and more things for our guests (like food, viennese hour, martini bar and cigar roller)



Day of Outfits : A
Victoria's Secret & Embroidery at Green Acres Mall
My day of outfit was order from VS (the total cost was less than 60 bucks) (I always wanted a hoodie and pants that has ' Mrs....' in the back ) . The outfit arrived in 3 days and I took it to Green Acres Mall to get it embroidered. THe service was excellent and the price is great. Everyone in my house thought it was cute. I only used it for the day of the wedding and the rehearsal dinner.



Wedding Dress, Headpiece & Veil : A -
David's Bridal : Brooklyn, NY
I love my dress ! I do not want to spend more than a grand on my wedding dress. I felt it was unnecessary. I will only wear it once and will never wear it again. I went with my mom, my aunts and my cousins to David's Bridal a year before my wedding and try on five different dresses. The service was excellent ! The most important thing was I feel so comfortable in it !





BM dresses : B +
Davids' Bridal : Bklyn, NY
I picked out the BM dresses 5 weeks before my wedding. I took all of my girls on the same day to try it on. I picked the color royal blue because that was DH favorite color. I let all the girls try on dresses that they liked and purchased it for them with the shoes. I feel like since it was my wedding, I should pay for the dresses, shoes, hair & makeup done. Total cost for 5 BM dresses, 2 FG dresses after using coupons and coupons were less than a grand which I was pleased with.

Tuxes : C +
Men's Warehouse
Men's Warehouse was the only place for tuxes that have the same color as my BM gowns. The service was okay, not great ! When hubby came and pick up the tuxes, three out of 7 tuxes did not fit (the best man have to buy a suspender to hold up his pant, ring boy pant were too short adn one of the GM pant was so tight).

Invitations : A +
AP Printing : California
This is was the hardest part of wedding planning. I have to incorporated two different languages in wedding invites (Vietnamese & English) for my guests. No place in NY would do this for me until the company AP Printing from California would. I found this company through one of my cousin who was marry three years ago. The service was great but not the best. They mainly speak Vietnamese so therefore they deal with my mom, most of the time. My invitations were nice, quickly ordered, affordable and definitely arrived in timely manner.




Save the Date : A +++++++
For The Modern Bride
We love our save the Date ! We received this as a gift from one of the bride on here. She didn't need it so therefore she give this to us for free. Thank you so much ( I love Paolo). We ordered our save the date and it arrived five days later. Everyone love it !



Customized Aisle Runner : A ++++

This was one of the thing that I knew I had to have for my wedding. I saw many brides on here have it and I thought it was so cute to have our names on it to personalized the event. Cherin was great to deal with. She knows exactly what I wanted when I spoke to her through emails. Quick service and great communication.




Flowers : AAAAA++++++++
John from Flower Michele : Mineola, NY
John from Flower Michele was fantastic and he is our favorite vendor ! We made so many appts with him but somehow and some way we always ended up missing our appt until six months before the wedding. When we met with him, he called us ' The Mysterious Vivian & Victor ' hehe....He showed us a lot of pics, worked with us completely until we decided on how we want our centerpieces to look like and he negotiated with us in prices to work within our budget.
Every time we went to see him, he was so friendly and he is such an easy person to work with. On the day of my wedding, I was in complete shock. The flowers were beyond perfect ! My bouquet and BM bouquets and DH and his GM boutonierre arrived early and it was so fresh. When we saw our CPs, we were lost for words. They were perfect and the way John set up the room was perfect. I had 12 CPs ( pink orchids & calla lillies). We love John . He brought our wedding to perfection! We do not regret booking with him and we would recommend him to anyone that is getting marry !















Makeup : A
Elisa Bello
I met with Elisa after 4 makeup trials I went to. I found her on craigslist. This was one of the hardest thing for me to search for. After 4 trials with Liweddings vendor for makeup, I was not satisfy with any of the trials. I hardly wore makeup on a regular basis and I hate airbrush . Elisa Bello is awesome ! She worked for Bergdorf Goodman makeup counter. She came to my house for our trial and we clicked right away. She is very easy going and friendly. We had one trial and I booked her on the spot. I didn't need to put a deposit down (she told me that for freelancing there's no need for a deposit).
She came to my house early on the day of the wedding and did my entire family (me, 5 BM, 2 FG, 2 moms and 2 Friends). Her prices was affordable. Everyone looked great and was happy with her work. The makeup lasted all night and I used her every time I have an occasion to attend.







Hair : B +++
Ashley Giannetto www.eyedohairandmakeup.com
After many searches and seven hair trials, I finally found the woman that can achieve the look I was going for and that is Ashley. She is located in Westchester. I did 2 trials with her and she is great. She charged me 500 bucks for myself, 5 BM, 2 FG and 2 moms. On the day of the wedding, she brought an assitant with her. She arrived early and she was quick. She came up with all the styles for the girls and it looked great. The only reason why I didn't give her an A was toward the end, she was in a rush because she has another wedding to attend. :( but otherwise her service was great !

Videography : B
Ariana Studios : FLoral Park, NY
We begin booking with Ariana Studios when we first got engaged. At first, we booked the whole package with them (photo, video, limo, flowers, tuxes and DJ) but after doing many researches and personal experiences with them, we ended with only videography from them. On the day of the wedding, the videographer arrived early but we didn't pay so much attention to him like other vendors. So hopefully, our video will be perfect as we wishes. After our wedding, we went back to Ariana Studios to drop off our pics so they can included in our video, Cathy told us at least 6-8 months before our video would be ready. Are you kidding me ?

Limousine : A
Royalty Limo
DH & I found out about Royalty Limo when we went to one of Jericho Terrace showcase. We got a package for 2 Benz for a grand. The price was great but the staff especially the owner was rude ! On the day of the wedding, the limo arrived early at both mine and DH house. The limo drivers were very nice. There were water and wine in our limo as promised ! At the end of the night, they came early and picked us for drop off.





Cigar Roller : A++++
La Rosa Cubana
This was a gift for hubby from me. Their price was the cheapest compare to other companies. THey came early on the day of our wedding. Everyone took a cigar and they had such a great experience with it ! Hubby was surpised but he was glad I did it for him.







Entertainment (DJ services) : AAAAAA++++++++++
G & F Global Entertainment
We went to TWOTY in January 09 and we won our DJ services from G & F Global Entertainment. Frank and his staff have been incredible and very helpful since the start. Our package was the first class package which included ceremony, reception services and also favors. They arrived early. They played the exact songs that we wanted them to play. Frank & his staff made both old and young crowd get up and dance. THe dance floor was packed the whole night ! Everyone raved about how great the DJ was and we would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for entertainment services.

















Photography : A super duper AAAAAAAA+++++++
Amanda Picone www.amandapicone.com
We love our photographer, Amanda Picone. One night, I was doing a search through craigslist and found info on Amanda Picone. DH & I booked a photographer for our wedding and we also paid this vendor to take our epics at a beach during the summer and we hate our epics so much ! We knew we were going to cancel him. During this time, I found out Amanda was giving free epics through craigslist in exchange for our photos to be on her blog. I contacted and schedule our shoot with her in May 08. We love our engagement pics so much that we made our table numbers with them on it.









Next, she sent us an email that she was having a contest for a free wedding photography for an entire day. I entered our name on it and we won second place and we ended up paying 600 bucks for our photography. The package that we received from her was an unlimited coverage of our wedding (from the start of the bride getting ready to the end of the reception), youtube DVD slideshow and other stuff. I also did my boudoir photography with Amanda. It came with the wedding package. We did the shoot on one of the bed and breakfast in S.I. I love my photos and so did DH.





On the day of the wedding, Amanda arrived early with an assitant, Andy Chin. Andy was with DH at his home and Amanda was with me. One thing I loved most about her was she always respond to my email on time and never late. Great communication ! She always listened to what we want and what pose we like. She never pressured us in anything. She was not lazy at all. During our wedding, she was never in the way of our guests or us. She always put a smile on our face ! Her photos are amazing ! Every time we looked at our pictures, we fell in love with it more and more. Not only she was our photographer but for the last year and a half, she have become a great friend to us. Please check her out ! She's a vendor on here. You won't be dissappointed ! Our album and pictures are beautiful !

Jericho Terrace
We went to many venue places before we decided to book JT as our venue. We knew that this is one thing that we would splurge on. We looked at many places but there's nothing compared to JT. From the moment we first stepped into Jericho Terrace, we fell in love with the place. We booked with Robert (General manager) two years ago. This guy is amazing ! No words can say it ! We don't know what we'll do without him. We changed the wedding date so many times and we felt that Robert was going to have a problem with it but Nope ! he was so accomodating and at anytime we had a problem, he always took care of it.
We were marry at 5 pm on 5-24-09 in the Skylight Room and we had 130 guests total in the Oak Room. The room was set up very nice and we had an amazing time. We didn't want too many guests just due to the fact that DH & I are paying for everything by ourselves. There are five choices on our menu and the food was so delicious that our guests are still raving about it.
Our Maitre D is Jose. this guy is amazing ! We met him 4 weeks before our wedding after our issue with Anna. When we went over the menu with him, he explained everything in details to me, DH and my mom. I come from an Asian background so my mom wasn't familiar with the entree choices. We sat with Jose many times to go over the menu. Jose is incredible on our wedding day. Hubby & I arrived early. Jose was there to greet us. Some of our guests arrived early and the staff greeted them in the wine & cheese lounge with drinks and crackers. Hubby's mom got sick in the limo and Jose gave her an orange juice right away. Who do you know that will give you a service like that ?
Our ceremony was beautiful . It was decorated with flowers from Flower Michele and petals on the floor. Hubby & I wrote our own vows and it was amazing ! Everyone cried ! It was so emotional !
There were so much foods at the cocktail hour ! The staff and the service were great and excellent !
The chocolate fountains were so yummy ! The kids love it so much. Our wedding cake was delicious and the dessert was so good that everyone wants more :)
We didn't regret booking Jericho Terrace for our venue. We wishes that we can go back on that date and enjoy once again. It went by so fast ! Robert, Jose and the staff at Jericho Terrace gave us an amazing wedding ! Thank you so much

Awesome review! I actually had the same thing with Royalty Limos - sorta mean owner on the day we booked, but they worked out great on the day of the wedding!
