Sand Castle Caterers - Greece Honeymoon
Hey! Are any SC couples taking the Greece Honeymoon??? We are getting married in November, and from my understanding the hotel is only open from May - October, but I know that the trip is good for a year. We are thinking about going for our 1-year Wedding Anniversary. What is everyone else doing?!

we're doing the same thing! we felt pretty strongly about not going to a family resort for our honeymoon and it's my understanding that it's more of a family resort for the HM SC gives you. (but i could be wrong on that)

Unsure as of right now. We definitely won't be taking our honeymoon directly after our wedding, but not sure when we'll get to do the Greece trip. I hear July/August are great months to go!

Are they still offering the honeymoon cause when we booked they said they weren't sending anyone to greece because of the economy. Our wedding is in July 2012. If so I'm going to contact them.

I'm wondering this too! It's in my contract and if they aren't doing it I would be bummed but I would want a DRASTIC price cut if they aren't.

Re: Sand Castle Caterers - Greece Honeymoon
I'd think if it's in the contract you still get it, they're just not doing it anymore meaning anyone that books it now won't get the trip..We just booked it and this wasn't offered anymore... and there wasn't any price cut either, I was kinda bummed
BTW when did everybody book? just to make sure

Re: Sand Castle Caterers - Greece Honeymoon
I booked in November for Feb 2013 wedding. I was not offered the trip but they gave a good deal on the price so i didnt want to take advantage. I also did not see it on my contract but I will double check at home.Just out of curiousity how many people are you having. Our mailing list is 260-270 but I am sure I will get some No rsvp's.
Wondering if it has anything to do with the amount of people or just the season of your actual wedding. I know Winter weddings are a bit cheaper.

Re: Sand Castle Caterers - Greece Honeymoon
I just went in June, needless to say your not missing anything. The resort is a family resort with crying babies everywhere. The Sand Castle has an agreement with a Polish travel company so all the couples that stay their dont speak English, so all the activies are in Polish. Other then the private pool it was a bust!!

Re: Sand Castle Caterers - Greece Honeymoon
Let me know what they say. I booked December 2010 for my wedding this August. It's definitely in my contract. When I first booked, I asked about reducing the price without the trip. They said no because it's a gift, so I added it in the contract. Now, I'm scared to take the trip because of all the problems in Greece. Anyone else considering taking it? Did anyone wait a year to go like they said we have?

Re: Sand Castle Caterers - Greece Honeymoon
I booked in June of 2011 and my wedding is this July. I should have asked them to put the trip in my contract or at least asked for extra discount!
