We did. Just going to thank them for coming and celebrating with us. I'm actually over it at this point.

We had 10, but one just sent us a check this week
We will just thank them for celebrating I guess

Just realized I worded that wrong. We were shafted by people like that too hut those people have excuses. I'm upset over a friend who gave us half what we gave them at their wedding.

My SIl and DH's cousin never gave us a gift either...not to mention that my maid of honor still hasn't given us a gift nor has she paid me for the dress that I laid the money out for bc she was overseas when we ordered them and came in!!!!

Yes I got one weird amount and one without even a card, but they were OOT and who knows their financial situations. I'm just glad that I got to see them. I'm sending both thank yous....

I didnt either- I had only 1 non-gifter who came to the wedding and he said he was bringing his G/F. She didnt come and he never gave a gift or a card. It was Jerry's boss. He kept saying he left it home or it was in the car. 348 days later still nothing
He didnt get a thank you card

Re: FU thank you?
I didn't send a card to anyone who didn't give me at least a card. I think it's entirely wrong to go to a wedding and at least not give a card. I understand times are tough, but if you cannot afford even a 99 cent card, then really, why did you come?

maybe your friend's in some financial trouble?
if she gave you a card & gift, i'd word the thank you the same as the TY's to the more generous guests.
ETA: I didn't send TYs to the non-gifters ... i wasn't about to spend any more money (on a stamp) on them

Same here.
I was upset over it because I love cards and everyone that I know knows this. And what is the cost of a card, 5 bucks tops. I am over it now. Life is too short, you know.
ETA: But it took me 6 months to get over it.

I sent thank yous to non-gifters but I was kinda forced to...I however rolled my eyes a lot while writing them...'
Dear John and Jane,
Thank you for sharing in our special day. We were very happy to see you there.
-Linda and Franky
They didn't even get a 'love'.

Definately this!!! Especially if they are good friends of yours.
I had a friend who got sick the day before my wedding (like emergency surgery type sick) and her and her husband could not make it. When I went to their wedding...i think I gave them $200. They were nice enough to send us a card with $75 in it as a gift and they did not even come to the wedding. They felt horrible that they had to cancel last minute, but I was grateful and did not expect anything from them because I know how hospital bills, medication, time off from work can all add up. A wedding is not about money...its about time with the people you truly care for in your life. Think about that before you write a nasty thank you card.

I would never be nasty! Never! I had a similar situation as yours and was not bothered by that. Trust me I understand hospital bills dh was in the hospital till the week before the wedding!!! I was curious if you write thanks for the gift or still add in generous.

Re: FU thank you?
There were a couple of non-gifters. One friend emailed me the night before the wedding and said she can't afford a gift. I understand that, and I told her I was glad she was coming, but I'm not sure how I feel about it, because I see she posts on facebook that she's gone out to expensive restaurants and girls nights at bars since. A gift that didn't cost a lot but had some thought would have been fine. We had another who said she left it at home, I'm not expecting to see anything from her. And a friend of DH who is loaded, brought a date, and still hasn't given anything. But also, there were a lot of very generous people, some that really surprised me.
