CRESCENT BEACH APRIL 30th

We'll add to this as we go but, we wanted to get started reviewing our top 2 Vendors with some tips that worked for us:

1) Saturday DAY wedding - We actually prefered the day wedding. It works out real well for people out of town who come in Friday night and can enjoy the rehearsal dinner plus a nice night our that eases you into the whole experience. Then on Saturday you wake up and get started right away instead of sitting around all day letting the nerves build..... We then had plans for after the wedding - a Post Party so, it really never ended!!!!!! Another benefit was the pricing - it was MUCH easier to negotiate with certain vendors.

2) Pictures before the wedding - We know some feel it's taboo - but, this is YOUR day and it's time to enjoy it and not be pushed, pulled and posed for hours while your friends and family are at a party.... We got to enjoy every minute of the day.


We were so happy we actually questioned wether we tipped these two vendors enough!!!!!

We can't say enough good things about how they ran the whole thing. It was a rainy day and they didn't miss a beat. They had a great backup plan, much better than other places I've seen or weddings I've been to..

Another HUGE bonus was that they took us into the hospitality suite following the ceremony for about 20 minutes and brought in all the AMAZING FOOD!!!! - this way we got to eat and then go out and talk to people without eating while talking or missing the food.. I hear so many people say they missed the food or their coctail hour, not here and the food is worth it.... They stood by us all day making sure we had the drink we wanted at all times and helped us with any minor drama or with working around the room.

The day actually cleared up so, people did get to enjoy the amazing view, deck and beach once things got going.... Again, we can't say enough about how great everything went and how amazing the food was... They brought us each entree to taste as well..

Wow - I know we got an incredible deal. Like I said above - Picking something other than a Saturday night helps and I'd definitely call and talk to Joe or Steve to see what they can do because I think they are a level above the others.... People just RAVED about the band - everyone from Grandma to my musician friends... They learned our first dance song, a Jack Johnson song and a song for the Wedding march and pulled it off beatifully... People have said they never seen so many people dancing the whole time... It was such a pleasure working with Joe as opposed to some other bands I tried to deal with - Everything was 'NO PROBLEM'. I actually hired them without seeing them based on their reputation and web site videos alone - Also talking to Joe and Steve and playing a little myself I just got a great vibe and it worked out perfectly.


All the Vendors were just perfect and we'll add them as we go.....

i wanted to add that I'm using NYC Swing too, and I'm glad to hear how amazing they were! FH and I moved out of state so I booked them based on reputation, phone calls, and watching their DVD, without actually ever having met them as well!
