Dewayne and I were in engaged on June 15, 2007 after 7 years of dating!! The madness began the next day, I stumbled across LIW by accident and the rest is history. I have met some Fantastic, Fabulous Brides on this site as well some of my great vendors. I wanted to Thank all my ladies who have given me such great ideas and advice. I chose April 2, because my grandparents were going to be celebrating there 60th anniversary. What a great example they gave me so I had to celebrate. I was stuck on that date and I was going to make it work

I visited numerous bridal shop I was getting a bit discourage and annoyed. Valentina Bridal was suggested to me by Jayla127 and I decided to take ride up to the salon to see if I liked anything. Literally my decision was made in 20 mins I worked with Daniella who was Fabulous. I by accident gave her a picture of my dream Kenneth Pool dress. Immediately Daniella showed me my impression gown and I was sold

Earring – Dana Saylor Design A+++ I didn’t think finding earring would be so difficult but of course in true fashion this became obstacle for me. Then I came across Dana shop and purchase my earring she was very responsive and I loved the finish product!! Earrings

Loved my bracelet I was able to incorporate my colors and the finish product

I booked Sandra on the spot in June ’08. I loved how my makeup came looked she was prompt and did my whole bridal party she took her time and everyone just looked beautiful . I couldn't help but just stare at my sisters and mommy they looked just so amazing. Sandra is Fabulous!!!!



Veil
Brides Veil Falls In NYC A+++
I came up with this crazy idea one to take my mother's 30yr old wedding dress and turn into a Veil . I wanted to have something to pass on to my family. Margaret the owner was Fabulous and created to such a beautiful veil from my mother’s gown. The Veil is so special to me!!

I ordered my MOH and 1bm dress from here it right by house and convientant dresses arrived on time and alteration were free and came out lovely!!



Esquire Tuxedo Merrick A++++++++
Tuxes – We went to one place based on High recommendation from LIW. Mike was fantastic he really went above and beyond. Our bridal party had hectic schedule, two were OOT and Mike did his very best to accommodate me and my DH all the time. My guys LOOKED Sharp lol.. What can say I lost sleep picking a photographer. It was the hardest decision I had to make so I picked two. I loved Gail and Erica they were great to work with before and the day of. There work speaks for themselves they both have their own unique style and I was overjoyed to have both of them for my day. Orange Films- Edward A++++++++++
I wasn’t sure at first if I should get a video but I am glad I convince myself because literally the day went soooooo fast I can’t wait to receive my video . I came across Edward before he became an LIW vendor my DOC mention that he was great. I made an appt with him and Edward creativity and imagination blew DH and my expectations. Even DH was excited about getting a video. Here is the trailer Edward created for us that I think I watched million times lol.. P.S I forgot to mention Fantastic he is lol..

Style DJ’s - A++++++++++ Dj -Eddie & MC-Ricardo

I originally booked with Feel the Vibe DJ. Unfornately both owners parted ways and I followed DJ Eddie. When we met with Eddie his professionalism and dedication to his craft clearly shows upon meeting him. He created a mix song idea that DH and I wanted on the spot for us. When I asked DH if he switch to Style Dj’s the first thing he tells me is 'Eddie has DJ our party'. Lol..
Any crazy idea I would run pass by him he would make it happen. My girls walked down the aisle to an instrumental of Ne-Yo song thanks to Eddie. We received so many compliments about our music the dance floor was always packed. Ricardo was our MC and he was hysterically funny. I tell you working with them was one of my favorite parts of planning. Eddie & Ricardo you guys ROCK!!!

Officiant – Pastor April A++++++++++
There is not enough words to express how much I love Pastor April. I couldn't wait to work with her, she wrote the most intimate vows for Dewayne & I. Everyone loved her!! I am soo happy to have Pastor April marry me and my best friend


DOC – Exquisite Affairs Production. A++++++++++ I hired Christine literally as soon she was ready to book 2009 wedding. All through the process communication was great and when we had our final meeting I was such at ease I knew that I would not have to stress a thing the day of!! She handle all my vendors and my family. If you can handle my family all is good.


Flowers Verbena Design A++++++++++
I think I met with at least 10 florists before I booked Verbena. I was driving myself crazy because I felt my vision wasn’t clear. Jenn was the last florist I met with and instantly I wanted to book her but I had to wait until she drafted a proposal. I loved Jenn and her creativity my flowers were amazing when I showed her my color scheme she was really excited about my flower choices we did mixture of champagne, blush, peach flower and these cutest grey berries. For my centerpieces I had three different choices





Cakes by Jay A++++++++++
My cake was gorgeous and Jay was such a pleasure to work with. I seen his previous work so I knew right away I wanted him to make my cake. We had two layers of red velvet and one layer carrot. Our cake was so delicious I included a picture at the end of review

Limos –Joe Camelot Limos A++++++++++++ I booked two Limos a Chrysler 300 and a Lincoln. Joe always went above and beyond for me . He was great to work with the limos were clean , beautiful and on time. He arranged for a town car to pick up me DH after the reception.

Eliana from BYSE was Fabulous to work with. She played signficant role in helping me execute my vision clearly. From the beginning she told me details set the tone and to be consistent with my theme. She created my CD Favors, Reserved Seating signs, aisle runner which had a verse from a love song, & my menus which were a work of art in itself she created round scalloped menus.

I contacted Tessa in May’08 at the time I was set on champagne/pink color scheme I gave Tess my design that I already created and she helped tweak and make better. She was affordable and invites came out lovely

My Cardbox
.My uncle, as a hobby loves to restore old Barbie's. When someone in my family gets married he loves to give a groom & bride Barbie. I knew it would mean alot to my uncle it I had them displayed at the wedding. So of course I incorporated them with my cardbox. I bought a predesigned cardbox from Joann's had my FIL cut a whole so guest can insert envelopes and my uncle decorated a little more.


Chateau Briand A+++++++++++++

Saving the best for last as they say. I was very limited to the number of RH to visit because I needed a RH that had lower guarantee of people . I narrowed down my choice between another popular RH and CB. DH was the deciding factor immediately when we walked into Chateau he was amazed by it's beauty and the art deco vibe. He told me within 10 mins this is it. So we booked. I will admit beforehand communication between my Banquet Manger and I was not clear and there were some misunderstanding but Tom took over and he was always available to answer my questions.

Day of Chateau was Fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. My maitre name was Kirkand was just phenomal!! My bridal attendant never left my side. Let’s talk about CB beautiful ground amazing I loved taking picture outside I couldn’t be happier with CB we felt like we were in South Beach in Long Island. Let’s not forget about Food which was delicious and such a great variety. To All my CB what a great place we picked!!!
