My 10/12 Wedding Review!

We are finally home from our honeymoon, so I wanted to take a few minutes to post my review of the big day!
Our wedding day was so incredible! Even though the weather was rather horrible (it rained steadily all day!) We really enjoyed every minute of it and each other.

On to the vendors--

Joe from Saloon's in Astoria, Queens arrived promptly at 5:00am to do hair and makeup for myself, mom, MOH and bridesmaid. He did a great job!

Joe Pal Limos--all of the cars arrived 1/2 hour early because of the weather. The cars were clean, the drivers great and helpful (they all had BIG umbrellas), and everyone arrived on time.

Church--St Aidan's in Williston Park. Our mass was just beautiful! The priest started on time and the music was incredible (organ, trumpet and handbells)

Photographer--Full View Photography in Great Neck. I had one photographer for color photos (Hal, the owner). One for Black and white shots (Eddie), an assistant and a videographer. They all arrived on time, were friendly and polite. I am anxiously awaiting my proofs!!

Unique Image Florist in Fresh Meadows. They were the only vendor that arrived late. The driver had a flat tire on the way to my parent's house and were an hour late. I ended up taking pictures without flowers. When they did arrive, the flowers were beautiful. The bouquets were perfect, and the flowers at the church and hall were gorgeous. The florist also decorated our cake with fresh flowers. It was beautiful!

Sans Souci--I cannot say enough about the place! Everyone is still raving about the food!! It was delicious and there was plenty of it. We booked with Carol over a year ago, and she was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Nargis, our attendant, was perfect. She made sure we had everything we needed--drinks, food, etc. And also made sure we were not apart from one another for any length of time, and was able to pull us away from overly chatty guests. I cannot say enough great things about Sans Souci!

Jam Entertainment--Sans Souci's house DJ. Joey was great! He played the right combination of songs and adhered to my DO NOT PLAY list. He had me dancing all day! He was also the MC and did a fabulous job!

Have You Heard--in Bellmore. Ginny was so friendly and helpful. The order came in so quickly! The invitations were beautiful. We have received so many compliments!

Tuxedos--Bell Formal Wear in Bayside. All of the guys looked so handsome. Everyone's tuxes fit perfectly and the owners, Spiros and Mariat, were friendly and helpful.

Bridal gown from Princess Bridals--I loved my dress! Although the saleswomen were at times less than friendly, the seamstress did a fantastic job. And my dress was comfortable and oh so beautiful!

We honeymooned in Grenada for 10 days. We stayed at the Spice Island Beach Resort. We had an incredible time! It was beautiful! We then headed up to Manchester, Vermont for 5 days. We went from sipping frozen drinks on the beach to putting on snow boots and winter jackets. We went to the top of one mountain and it was 23 degrees with 7 inches of snow. We finally came home this past Wednesday night.

Although I haven't contributed too much to the boards, I have been reading religiously for the past 18 months. Thank you everyone for all of your ideas and help.

Sans Souci was terrific - both food and service!!! The DJ did such a great job having everyone up on the dance floor!
