The weather was Perfect, Not too Hot not too cold The sun was blazing, just beautiful.

Hair: A+ Dawn NUBEST
I went to NUBEST Salon in Manhassett, I had many trials with recommended vendors and none of them could do what I wanted and they also charged a lot more, finally I went to Nubest for a Trial and worked with Dawn, she was amazing she did exactly what I wanted, and the Day of was even more beautiful, plus It cost me $85 which I thought was a great deal, I went to the salon but she will come to the house!!!!!

2 weeks before my wedding my scheduled
makeup artist( who I don’t want to name, FM if you want the info) told me she couldn’t come at the time I wanted, of course I started freaking, I had many trials and hated them all, I am very particuliar about how my makeup looks, so I didn’t believe anyone could do it…anyway my friend came to the rescue, she had mentioned Sophia to me many times before but I just never considered it, but at that point I trusted my friend and called her, Thank God she was available, She came to my house in Roslyn and was on time, she was so wonderful, calming, easygoing, I loved my makeup, everyone complimented me that day, I never felt more beautiful, she is truly a great makeup artist, and the lashes she put on me stayed on throughout my 2 week honeymoon, The only thing I had to reapply is the lipstick, which I took from her, she uses all Nars makeup which I love!!!!, FM me for her info

Headpiece: A+ Thomas Knoell
As soon as I saw his pieces I knew I had to have one, they were quite pricey but I saved and went to the shop to choose one, What a great guy he is, As soon as you walk in he makes you feel like a princess, my husband came with me to help me choose, and I loved the whole experience, He put many different pieces on me, but as soon as he put “DESTINY” on me I knew that was the one, It was all Swarvoski crystals with amber accents, I knew it would be a perfect match with my gown ( since my dress was Ivory with a hint of gold thread on the bodice), When I went to pay my husband surprised me and paid for it, he told me it would be one of his gifts to me, which was a very nice surprise.


Dress A++++ Salon B Reem Acra Paradise, Wedding Salon of Manhassett
I always thought I wanted a an Eve of Milady dress, but my friend told me about Reem Acra dresses, so we went to a salon to try some on, well as soon as I saw them I knew I loved them, the material and workmanship is beyond stunning, so I went back the next weekend to The Wedding Salon of Manhassett, they were having a Reem Acra Trunk show, anyway I saw this dress on the rack and I really didn’t think I would like it, well as soon as I put it on I knew, It was Reem’s paradise, in the Ivory/Gold, well it was the most beautiful dress I ever saw, and I truly felt like a princess in it, since I bought it during the Trunk show, I got 15% off and a free veil up to $500worth. My seamstress was Sue and she was a doll the reason I gave a B is because the day of my wedding when I unwrapped the dress my photographer hung it up and pointed out that in the back one side was sewn and the other had broke, so it looked lopsided, ( there were appliqués in the back on each side they were each lifted from underneath and sewn to the top to accent the appliqués and the bustle that was created, well with one side being down we had to cut the other to make it even and then when it was time to do the bustle, it was weird looking but my MOH pinned it up and no one knew, but for the money I paid it should have been perfect.

Veil A+ Wedding Salon of Manhassett
It was a plain Ivory Cathedral Veil, It was beautiful and Free, which made me love it more.

The only jewelry I wore were Diamond Chandelier Earings my Husband bought me and gave me at our rehearsal dinner, they were beautiful, David also did my e-ring and our bands, He is so nice and does amazing work!!

Shoes: A+ My Glass Slipper in NYC
I agonized over the perfect shoes something classy and elegant yet comfy, well I found them here, they were Grace Shoes, and the Name was Yvette, Honestly my feet did not start hurting until I was leaving the swan club!!!!

Garter: EBAY
I forget the name of the seller but it was perfect, my mother passed away in 2003 and she loved butterflies, and told us before she passed that when we see a butterfly it would be a sign from her. So I found this blue garter on ebay with a tiny silver butterfly sewn on it and I bought it immediately, and it was only $5 !!!!!
Corset: A+ Georgettes
They were so nice and easy to work with, as soon as the lady looked at me she knew my size and got me a great corset, I was in and out in no time.
Tuxedos: Tuxedo Park in Carl Place B-
They were great when we first went to pick out the tuxes, they treated my husband like a king, but after that they were so messed up, My father who lives in TX, called and faxed his measurements 2x and they lost it, I had to personally go down and tell the manager the measurements. And the day of the wedding one of my groomsmen was given the wrong Tux thank god my husband and his groomsmen were getting ready near the shop cause someone came by and gave them the right one, but still these are things that should not happen.

Grooms Gift: Tiffanys and Got Your Back Massage
I got my husband engraved cufflinks from Tiffanys, they were great and a masseuse to go to his house the day of the wedding to give him and his guys massages, Kim from Got Your Back Massage was great she gave me such a great deal and my husband said her massage was great, she was on time and very professional.

Rehearsal Dinner: MOG House Catered by Mike From Bayview Deli
My husband worked for mike as a teenager for many years so when we decided to have the RD at his Moms we went to mike he gave us a beautiful spread of Appetizers, and 4 Hot Trays plus bread and all utensils and he sent a waitress to set up serve and clean up, which was the best part, The food was wonderful and the waitress was great, and the best part about having it at his moms house is we weren’t kicked out at a certain time.
Bridesmaid Gifts:
I got my girls CZ chandelier earings from Bridal Couture in Manhassett, they were great to work with, and since I was buying six pairs I got them for $30 cheaper each then the original asking price.
Groomsmen Gifts:
My Husband got most of his guys Humidors, and the other two that don’t smoke cigars, he got them a gift set from the art of shaving.

Hall: The Swan Club A-
We didn’t see a lot of halls before we decided on the Swan Club but we had been there before recently for a friends wedding and enjoyed ourselves, and liked the food, and the grounds are beautiful for a September wedding, so the price was right and we booked. When we started finals we had Edger as Our BM but I didn’t like his attitude and he made a comment that I took offense to so I immediately asked to b put with a New BM, we got Sandra who was great, we loved her, she did everything I asked, with no problems. The Day of Sandra was Fabulous, we were told we were going to have a Bridal attendent and upon arrival I was a little annoyed because no one was there to greet us. And when someone did see me they were like you’re here already, what it was 5:30 and my CH starts at 7pm I thought that was weird well I wouldn’t be able to tell you my bridal attendants name cause she was never there when I needed her, upon entering my bridal suite I asked her for water, she said fine disappeared for 15min and came back with a tray of champagne, I was annoyed finally Sandra got me water, anyway the rest of the night went fine no problems. And everyone said the food was great.

Church: Our Lady Queen of Martyrs A++++
I loved this church as soon as we walked into it, when we moved to forest hills we started going to this church and I always knew it would be beautiful to get married there. So we dealt with Father Passanant, who was a little cold at first but the day of he said some lovely things, everyone complimented on how beautiful our church was and the pics are amazing.

The reason I didn’t give them an F is because we all got there safe, well this limo company was recommended by the Florist we chose, well we should have shopped around, They came off very professional, when we went to them in the beginning, anyway, we wanted the 24passenger escalade we had 20 people that were going in it and 4 of them would be children, we wanted to be in the same limo as the BP, anyway so the escalade was coming to me and my husband was just getting a drop off limo for him on the way to the church, so he was getting a 12pp limo for 8pp, anyway we specifically made them put in the contract that the ac would be fully functional, anyway, on the way to the church the ac was not working at points it was blowing hot air, it was terrible, then I find out my husbands limo was so late cause he got lost, then the escalade did not fit all our people my moh and a ring bearer were sitting on the floor in front of us, he swore to us that it would fit 22pp comfortably and we had 20, and the ac was not working and the guy got lost on the way to the swan club, in my opinion they were a horrible company.

They were so sweet and great to work with and Rose is so talented, and there prices are amazing, my flowers were beautiful and just what I wanted, I cant recommend them enough….

OMG once again my friend showed me who Lina was, one of her other friends used her and her pics were amazing and her website was great, so we went in to see her profile, all her pics are stunning…..so we booked her, our package included a engagement shoot, she took us all around central park then, met opera, Brooklyn promenade, then times square, well those pics came out amazing my fam and friends couldn’t stop talking about them, then the day of the wedding her and her 2 asst were unbelievable so professional, and never stopped snapping, my family cannot stop raving about them, then she posted pics on her website they are so beautiful , she is so talented she has such a good eye, everyone has complimented on them she took 1700 proofs, and I get 85 pics in my album, she is so sweet and a pleasure to work with, if I ever get pregnant I will def go back and have her do a pregnancy shoot…FM me for her info all the pics in this post are linas

They were great, very professional, and pleasant to work with, everyone said they had so much and danced all night, unfortunately I cant remember the name of our mc or dj, but they were great, you don’t know who your mc is until the day of, so its not my fault…lol…but they were nice and prices are great, they also threw in basic lighting for us for free

Cake A++++++ Black Forest Bakery

Hotel, night of A++++++ Garden City Hotel
It was beautiful, it was so nice to finish the night at this elegant hotel, everyone stared as we walked in and congratulated us and the room was gorgeous they gave us champagne and choc covered strwberrys, and the breakfast the next day was great…

Church programs:A Ebay
Once again I forget the name of the ebay user, but she did such a nice job, and was very affordable and fast, she was so patient to, I must have emailed her 500x changing my mind…..

Flowergirl dresses: A
Storybook.com they were such pretty dresses and very affordable, and the girls loved them, fast shipment also

Musicians A+++++
I asked my friend Linda from HS to sing the Ave Maria at my wedding ( she sings Opera professionally) anyway she sounded like an angel, she was wonderful and I loved it, I also had my friend Ryan Play the trumpet at the church, ( I walked into “The Trumpet Voluntary”) It was so beautiful, and made my day I loved it so much….

Invitations: Designs By Rose A+
When we met with Rose for our Flowers she mentioned she works with a woman who does Invitations, and if we went through them we would get 30% off, so we looked through the book and found one that we loved, they were very nice and elegant….

Calligraphy: A Bill From Inkspun
I was nervous about using bill because there were mixed reviews, but he did my inner and outer envelopes and our placecards, everything came out great, he is very hard to get in touch with, but every time I needed him I would have my husband call and he got right back, I was just glad everything worked out and his work is really nice…

Favors: Ebay
I love Ebay, we got 200 Mikasa bud vases as our favors, once again I cant remember the sellers name, but she was great and fast shipment, and I think the vases were real pretty, and the price was great

Ok overall my wedding day was the best day of my life, and it is really true when people say that the little things just dont matter, I never felt more beautiful and I couldnt stop smiling, I am so happy and proud of the way it turned out, we worked really hard and i think it came out beautiful, I hope by leaving this review i can help another bride find a vendor or avoid one...LOl.
