hey...we're trying to figure where to have our wedding...either Stewart Manor CC or Douglaston Manor. I think SMCC is more charming but the food/views seem better at Douglaston. Any foodie brides want to way in on the food at either? or general comments about either?

I looked at both and went w/ Douglaston Manor.
With Douglaston you run the risk of not being the only wedding, whereas if that is significant to you, than SMCC would be a better fit for you as they only have one party at a time. Although I heavily considered SMCC I liked that Douglaston had a much more updated look and the bridal suite was twice the size. Also SMCC was very hot the day we went to look at it, and it had me slightly concerned if the A/C was up to par considering its an older building (but then again, they prob. didn't have the A/C cranked up like they would've for a wedding). Other than that the pricing is about the same.....I never tried the food at SMCC so I wouldn't be able to vouch for it, but everything at Douglaston was great!!
