Greece: A+ and beyond!!!Our honeymoon to Greece was completely unreal. We went to Athens for two nights (The Electra Palace Hotel), Mykonos for five nights (Saint John Hotel Villas and Spa) and Santorini for five nights (Honeymoon Petra Villas). Each location was unbelievable. Everyone told us to only go to Athens for a night or two, and to be honest, we could have stayed even more nights than we did. Seeing the Parthenon and the rest of the Acropolis was like an out of body experience. Then again, DH and I really love history. Athens also has fantastic outdoor cafes and restaurants, and a really great nightlife. Plaka in particular is so much fun. It’s filled with outdoor shops and live music, especially late at night. The beaches and towns in Mykonos were unbelievable. Our hotel was perfection and had one of the best restaurants on the island. The views from Santorini are absolutely unreal – just STUNNING. They look like something from a movie set. The local markets in Santorini have such great food, and the wineries are amazing! The food in Greece in general is so so SOOO good, so fresh. Everyone speaks English, too, and they’re very friendly. We used Delta to fly to and from Greece and it was perfect. We used ferries and Aegean Airlines to travel between the mainland and the islands, and the transportation was fantastic. Greece was the PERFECT honeymoon destination. It’s heaven.
