My Wedding day... And my review! (Definately a laugh!)

THE TRUE EVENTS OF MY WEDDING DAY
I woke up in the morning and needed to shave my legs.. did the QUICKEST side of the bath shave I EVER did in my LIFE!! My Bridesmaid, Sarah, comes over and we pack up all of my stuff to leave to go to my sisters to get ready.. Well, we both needed stockings, she needed cigarettes, so we stop at CVS, then I realize I left my lipstick at home, so we buy one at CVS. I say, Hey sarah, Can I borrow that lipstick for my wedding, Wal-lah!! My something borrowed... SO I look down and realize I dont have enough gas in my car to make it two lights from CVS, so we pull into the gas station across from CVS, and start chatting... WELL, We discover I am missing something.... So I FLY back to my house, run in and grab it. My sister calls.. 'WHERE ARE YOU?' (I'm still early so I am not too worried..) 'Did you get the bagels for the girls? 'and the needlenose plyers to pinch the bustle of your Dress?' SO- I quickly call dad.. dad agrees to pick up bagels, Sarah and I head for Home Depot!! We are ten minutes in the car and talking about jewelry, and I realize my JEWELRY is at HOME!! So I bust a U turn and head back home agaiN!!! I felt like I was in an I LOVE LUCY episode... I run in and grab my jewelry and something else that was next to my jewelry that I knew I would probably need... Jump back in the car an FLY to Home Depot.. So- we get to HD, and Sarah goes running in for me while I try to relax. She's got this HUGE bag, and I didn't even ask her what it was... They only had a SET OF PLIERS, so she bought this 9 piece set!! ( What a gal! ) We get to my sisters, and my hair dresser is there, and my photographer and videographer are all there waiting for me!! Well, they were setting up and eyeing the property to see where to take pretty pics.. Anyway, so here I am getting ready.. NOW I don't have a button down shirt! --Can we say DUH??-- So I borrow one of my BIL's, and sit to get my hair done... I am trying to woof down a bagel because its my wedding day. I have had the most nerve racking moring ever.. I didnt think it could get much worse!!! Hahahaha... I WAS WRONG...
After I get my hair done, I am sitting getting my makeup on and my photographer comes up to me and asks me where my jewelry is.. I tell him on the table.. He comes back in a few minutes later.... (Girls using DUET or who has met with duet, picture ERIC saying this..) 'Uh, Lauren... You have both earrings? There's only one in the box.' Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!? So I bolt out of the seat and start rummaging around the house, in my pocketbook, in the stuff on the table, under the table with my @$$ in the air... I see the other photographer with the camera and am like-- DO NOT get this pic... (He put down the camera.. ) Can't find the earring anywhere. I had this really beautiful set that I FINALLY found at the flea market, now I am HYSTERICAL... I get an idea **Lightbulb** I announce to my ENTIRE BP as well as half my vendors, I will be back in 25 minutes, I am going to the flea Market! My sister calls my mom, and throws the phone at me... You CANT GO ANYWHERE... and hightails to her room... (Mind you, I am now CRYING to my mother who hasn't even answered the phone yet!) I hang up the phone, still convinced that I will fly to the Fleamarket... and my sister comes barreling out of her room, and dumps a gazillion earrings across her dining room table! As she sorts through them, and picks out the pairs, my BP relaxes me, and helps me pick out earrings. Now I REALLY HAVE my something borrowed!! I finish getting my makeup done, and get dressed. My limo arrives and I am getting anxious to get to the church. (I think my sister must have hidden EVERY clock in the house from me..) My girls are all dressed and ready to go. We take a bunch of pics... My flower girls are starting to act psychotic... and I am WAAAaaaaaaY Beyond ready to leave... I go outside and talk to my Limo driver -(the owner of the company)-- and ask him flat out... Where's the other car? (Ready for more I LOVE LUCY? )... 'Well it seems that your Groom and his Groomsmen were running a little behind.. the other limo has just left the church and should be here in 10 minutes.) !??!?!?!?! I go inside and someone makes me a mamosa. She gets there in like six minutes. I leave in my car as the girls are piling into their's. *Deep Breath* Then I see the time.... 3:50pm... MY WEDDING WAS SUPPOSED TO START AT 3!!!! I was supposed to be MARRIED by 3:50!!! I am now bugging out! My dad cracks open a mikes hard Lemonade... Now my dad is an interesting fellow.. He's like a white Bill Cosby. He's sitting there trying to calm me down... suprisingly, its working! Then we get caught by a train. Now it seems like we are hitting every light... We are like three minutes away from the church and about to hit another light and I excuse myself from the conversation my dad and I were having and shout-- Please tell me you are going through this one?, he's like, I can't I am in a Limo... I SHOUT-- EDDIE BLOW THE FREAKING LIGHT!!-- He blew it! So we get there.. and the groomsmen are waiting anxiously at the church entrance.. and people are poking in and out of the door to see if we got there yet. The other limo arrives with my girls, and we pour out of the cars.

Everything else was... a little behind schedule.. but perfect!

OK--Here's my Review....

HAIR Ann Dietz AWESOME!!!!!!- Has great prices, came to my house where I wsa getting ready BEFORE I even got there! Punctual, affordable, precise and Meticulous in her hair design! My hair looked great and I got a ton of compliments!

MAKEUP Dawn Mas- Has GREAT prices and came to me on the Big Day... Dawn did my makeup 3 total times before my wedding! See my proofs for pics!

CHURCH Bayport United Methodist- Beautiful, just the right size.. it looked packed, but was still comfortable. I ended up wearing a Blusher.. It worked well.. It calmed me down, I was starting to cry out side... Church was beautiful though.

LIMOUSINES Serenity Limos-- WONDERFUL!! They were fabulous!!!!!! We had an SUV and a regular Lincoln stretch... The men told me that in the SUV the driver was doing 80 to get us all there! They did a great job of getting them and ME there as quickly as possible! Through out the whole day and evening, Eddie and his drivers went above and beyond anythng I could have needed or wanted... Our after wedding driver was a complete sweetheart, and made sure we had everything from the catering Hall down to any last minute stops.. ANY questions, FM me!!!!!!!

FLOWERS Flower Michele-- THERE IS NOT A WORD IN THE DICTIONARY TO DESCRIBE THE QUALITY AND SERVICE we received from them!!!!!!! Everyone raved about my flowers... They were the most gorgeous and Vibrant Flowers I have ever seen in my LIFE!!!!!! (And I used to work in a florist!) Not only were they THE BEST to work with, and affordable, but they were Patient, Accomodating, Punctual and absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!! Definately anyone who needs a florist or wants advice abou them, FM ME!!!!!!!

DJ High Voltage Sounds-- Were GREAT!! If we weren't late ourselves, I would have been out in the cocktail hour eating, and never noticed a thing!! They had me a little nervous because our Bridal Suite was across from them setting up, but Vinny and his assistant set up with plenty of time! They proved themselves completely! My guests were out of their seats and dancing all night long... I even got church people to get up and dance.. We had a blast... Wish it could have been longer..The night seemed to FLY!!!!! My geusts loved the variety they played, and handled my requests with ease... Thank you Vinny for all the Cr@p I (and my family) put you through I HIGHLY recommend them.. PHOTO & VIDEO DUET-- What more can I saw about this company, besides I LOVE THEM! If it wasn't family owned and operated, I would go work with them!! Anyway..... They were there from REALLY early (like 930-10am) just to settle my nerves.. My biggest fear was that someone would be late, and I would miss my wedding.. Well My GROOM took that responsibility, so I didn't need to worry about anyone else!! .... THEY WERE AWESOME... they took a quatrillion pictures, and in so many artistic ways-- I GOT OVER 600 proofs!! We lost a lot of Picture Time in between the Church and Reception because of my Groom and his Men, but DUET didnt miss a beat... Then at the reception they were bearly noticable, taking pictures of everyone and everything! They captured EVERY moment!! Everyone LOVED my signing board.. The only thing that I heard mentioned was that the Signing board disappeared a little early.. Someone should have asked our DJ to make an announcement, But other then that I had NO problems!! They were fabulous!! ANOTHER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED vendor! ANY questions please FM ME!

SUNSET HARBOUR --- O MY GOSH!!!!!!! Nora (and Robyn!)...... Can I come to your wedding???? Brian and I have been craving the appeitizers since we left there!!!!! OK..... ATTENTION ANYONE WHO IS STILL LOOKING FOR A CATERER WITH AWESOME FOOD AND AWESOME PRICES.....My guests all called me this weekend to RAVE about the food.. The service was awesome, my maitre D was a short fire cracker of a woman, who went so above and beyond her call of duty.. My Bridal Waiter was the freaking best!!!!!!!!! I cant even begin to describe all of the awesome things they did for me and Brian. We really had a blast and If it wasnt for Andy, Christina, Gina and Mike and for the awesome service of all of the other waiters and waitresses, GOD only knows what kind of fiasco It could have been!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO FM ME ABOUT SUNSET HARBOUR...

I also wanted to thank all of you ladies for all of the advice an help and suggestions you provided through this journey.. If it wasn't for the support and suggestions some of you shared with me, this wedding would not have been so detail orientated!! Everyone LOVED the little details!

OK!!!! We are back from the Honeymoon, and here is my review! it's Got two parts bare with me!!
CRUISE ONE Dawn and Brian were AWESOME to work with, every bit of information they gave us was accurate and well researched. THey were friendly and personable, and they made EVERY effort to make sure my husband and I had a great trip! They beat a competitive price, and truly went above and beyond what we could have hoped for!!

OUR CRUISE ROYAL CARRRIBEAN SERENADE OF THE SEAS-- This was OUR first Cruise ever! We had a blast, we were a little diassappointed with the fact we didn't stop at Bar Harbour Maine, but the Captain made up for it by giving out complementary drink at the events on the day we were supposed to be in Maine... It was a little rocky, I will admit, not bad for Hurricane Force WINDS!!!!!!!! Brian was beyond happiness-- He LOVES STORMS! Our room was HUGE!! It had a balcony and everything! ANYONE considering cruising for their Honeymoon-- TRUST ME--GET A BALCONY!!! We met a few couples who had regular staterooms and regular staterooms with the porthole... The best was being able to roll out of bed and have our tea outside, watching whales and dolphin, or the next port of Call... THE SHIP-- Was immense! THE FOOD WAS AWESOME! Definately look into the Serenade-- ANYONE with questions, please FM ME!!!!!
