Addressing invitations

when addressing the invitations, how do you put an apartment number in there? do you spell out the word 'apartment' or abbreviate it? also does it go on the address line or on a separate line?

Re: Addressing invitations

When addressing outer envelopes use no abbreviations with the exception of non-professional titles (Mr., Mrs. etc) Professional titles such as Doctor, should be spelled out.

With the exception of 'One', all house numbers are written in figure form and no commas are used when separating digits in house numbers.

Apartment, suite and rural route numbers and zip codes are written in figure form.
eg:
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson
107 Hylan Boulevard #8
Staten Island, New York 11218

Write out state names as well as the words Street, Boulevard, Avenue, Trail etc.

Do not use symbols - spell out the word 'and'.

Hope this helps with any of your addressing needs.
Good Luck!
