Alterations

I bought my dress at David's but I went to schedule an alteration appointment with them (the Lake Grove store). They kind of freaked me out there. The alteration lady had such a heavy accent and it was so hard for me to understand her and her to understand me. I made a tentative appointment but I think I want to go somewhere else. It freaked me out a little. Any suggestions? I live in Islip. Anyone have any ideas around the Islip/Bayshore/East Islip area or Massapequa/Farmingdale where I work? Thanks.
