CAN ANYONE HELP WITH CEREMONY LOCATION IDEAS?? ON THE EAST END?

My Wedding is October 17th. I love the grounds of East Wind, but since I am having an evening wedding, I could not ahve my creremony there until 6PM. I want to definitely do my pictures AFTER we are married....

I have an appt with a church, but not sure how tis going to fly, as I need an interfaith ceremony, with a priest/minister and rabbi...

SO, I am asking for any and all help....I live in Sag Harbor and want to make it as close to there as possible...but want an alternative if there is rain....

SO, any ideas would be so appreciated!! We are living in RI now, planning from RI, but going to be in NY this weekend! So, if we could visit one of these places it would be IDEAL.

Thanks in Advance!!

Blessings to you both!

My name is Angela Heil, DD. I am a NYC Registered Interfaith Minister/ Officiant.

Have you considered a Back Yard Ceremony?
Perhaps a catering hall or Resturant in / or near Sag Harbor could rent you space for an hour for the service and guest arrivals?

If you like the water perhaps the Montauk Lighthouse would be romantic setting, this depends on Oct. weather. They have an area just for weddings. Some of my clients rented homes for the day near the water, but this must be planned in advance.

Greenport has a large park with a Gazebo.
Shelter Island [Seasonal] is also filled with possibilities.

Please feel free to view my website. I would be happy to assist you further. Please Call 631-736-1371.
Have a wonderful ceremony!

Re: CAN ANYONE HELP WITH CEREMONY LOCATION IDEAS?? ON THE EAST END?

Hello and Congratulations!

The light that shall shine when you and your beloved become one will already make it the most beautiful and special day in the world! The greatest part of my job is even with the couples that I don't marry, I feel like I have gotten the privilege of sharing in some of that with them either through the words on my website or helping out like this. So on to your day! Here's a link to almost everything in Sag Harbor. Perhaps the Chamber of Commerce will have alocation idea.

The brothers at Little Portion Friary in Mt. Sinai have a beautiful outdoor chapel (ringed in ivey) but I'm not sure if you could make a donation to use it.

Also here's a link to 2 interfaith ceremonies that I've done with and without Rabbi Friedman (there's a link to his email there too) It will give you an idea of the flow both ways.

Have a great weekend and I hope you find your hearts desire.

Re: CAN ANYONE HELP WITH CEREMONY LOCATION IDEAS?? ON THE EAST END?

Greetings,

My group performed at a wedding at the Coindre Hall in Huntington, on Huntington Harbor, last fall. It's in the Suffolk County Park on the water.

This is a marvelous Gold Coast mansion that has been converted into a museum and is now controlled by Suffolk County.

Elegant fixtures, rugs, artwook and impressive interior and exterior architecture; I'd call it Victorian Gothic.

Lots of parking on expansive grounds with woods and lawns--it was like being deep in the New England countryside.

Since I didn't book the wedding I don't know how they made a reservation, but if you're interested I would start by calling Suffolk County Parks.

All the best,

--Karla.
