I am hearing that to have a Catholic ceremony outside of a church, the marriage will not even be acknowledged by the Roman Catholic Church. Can anyone confirm if this is true?
If it's NOT true, and there are priests or deacons or pastors out there who could perform a Catholic ceremony at my reception hall, I'd love to hear from you.
It's very sad but the church is what is stressing me out most of all, b/c my parish allows no photo-taking at all and I am NOT okay with that!

The Archdioceses is who would better answer the Roman Catholic questions, but there is something they call a 'con-validation'. This is when you marry outside the Roman Catholic Church and then later have it recognized, this is what they call their process. One of my couples did it a few years ago. They said it was easy and ran them $100.00.
Sorry for your difficulty.
