I have already posted for some quotes, but now I need some opinions and more quotes!
I really love the sound of a string quartet, especially because I want Pachelbel's Canon in D to be the piece playing when I walk down the aisle. I am a former violinist (I haven't played in years) I feel likethe Canon in D is so much more emotional on strings.
My FI thinks we should just get a keyboard player to save some $$, but I've never heard it played on a keyboard and I don't want it to sound bad. Are there any other instrumental combinations that would sound okay, like piano and violin, or piano and flute? Also want Air by Bach to be played as well.
Does anyone have any CD's of these combinations?
Any help is any greatly appreciated.

Re: ceremony quote and help needed
Pachelbel Canon (Canon in D) is a three part canon. You need three strings. You do not need a string quartet-string trio will work fine. I would not use piano and violin or piano and flute. If you contact me at (631) 754-0594 or email me at [email protected] I will be happy to send you a CD or cassette tape (your choice) of the ceremony instrumentations available for your date . Let me know the specific date, time and location. If you send me your email I can send you a MP3. Stan is right. Canon in D only requires a string trio. This would save you $$ over a quartet. As a (former) violinist you would probably be disappointed with any other arrangement. I would shoot for a trio. If you would like some $$ info on our strings, please call or e-mail me. All the best, ...Des ======================= Burke Entertainment 631-286-4168 [email protected]
