We are looking for a church to get married in suffolk county. We checked 2 so far (the ones we went to when we were younger) and they wont marry us because my fiance never made his confirmation.
Can we get married at any church in Suffolk?
Do you have to belong to the church?
If we can't find a church and wont be having a reception, where else can we get married?

Hi,
You can get married by a justice of the peace or an officiant on a beach, which is always very nice. City hall in NYC, is also a very popular place outside of the church to get married. Hope this helps, and good luck with all of your wedding planning.

I don`t think you have to belong to a church to be wed in it. Try some of the non Roman Catholic churches. Or if not in a church... Where is your favorite place in the world? I married a couple in the Humes Japanese Stroll Garden last year. Is there a public park or another place that has meaning to you? The brothers at Little Portion Ftiary in Mt Sinai have a beautiful place with a turf labyrinth cut into the yard. But what ever you choose you will know it when you see it! Good Luck!
